@@dndfw817 I feel like they gave up on cool stuff and are targeting older people. Which is where all the money is. Yet other similar variations created by different brands are selling really well for the most part. And many of them have weird engines. I don't understand the idea behind 3-4 cylinder turbos, in terms of longevity turbos are harsher on the engines. If infinity did come out with a new version with a V6 - V8 that would be awesome. I don't see many of these newer models like the trax or envista lasting as long as fx35-45. It's a bummer they created something so great in 2003-2008 that it's extremely difficult to find something else that compares. The fx's after 2008 looked kinda weird and weren't as reliable. And there's not much else with the trifecta of zippiness, reliability, and good looks.

@@MrBojangles-of3bs oh absolutely agree with you. I can’t imagine a newer V6-V8 powertrain. The chassis could be derived from the newer Nissan Z. The 2nd gen is way uglier. Honestly the recent release of the QX55 was suppose to be the updated FX, instead Infiniti flopped it by adding a turbo charged 4 cylinder derived to a CVT transmission. If it had a V6-V8 power train to a 8 speed transmission, and a better interior, it would’ve sold like hot cakes.

Give a rest. You really don't pay attention to developments. Q50 is dead as a RWD 6 cylinder sedan. It is replaced by a new BEV sedan, based on Maxima replacement and FWD based BEV platform. Nissan Plus. Pay attention and stop having blind expectations, when this info is public.

We’ll see, we have no pricing and capability testing for this. It’s a nice people carrier just like the Lexus LX but I’ve done off-roading in an LX too, never seen an Infiniti touch dirt. People jump the gun when they see a new vehicle but it’s simply too early to tell.

This car is Despite being a fantastic Japanese-made car, it will never be released in my own country, Japan. Isn't that just wonderful? No. Plus Lexus has an offroad advantage even with the LX. You going by looks but most real drivers go by Land Cruiser level capability. Never seen a bimmer or Infiniti on offroad a day in my life.
