Scenario: Evacuation (ITS Season 15)

Today we're finally getting a game in of Evacuation. This is a scenario that's received a lot of attention as being extremely order-intensive and almost impossible to score a full ten points in. Both of these are, I feel, very accurate assessments, but also not necessarily bad things! It's a fascinating scenario that asks a lot of players and I was keen to try out a plan I had for engaging with it.

We’ve discussed this separately. But your game really shows off why I don’t like Evac. Simply changing a couple of rules in the mission and it would be one of my favourites. As it is, it just feels painful to play.

I had an Evacuation game playing Haqq, where Knauf and Fiddler just cleared up the way to Enemy console and she hauled in both enemy HVTs to their console and yeeted them out. Made it a bit less order intensive, but that mission gave me Rescue flashbacks still when it comes to burning orders.

Cool to see a game of Evacuation, it's my favorite scenario of the 3 new ones, although I'm a bit biased playing the avatar syncing hvts with no roll required, but bikes do it quite well too! I'm curious if you're planning on revisiting a faction tierlist in the near future, we had a few army updates since the last one and a new sectorial coming soon, and your last tierlist was a great listen for painting.

Yup, it's due for a 2024 update now that the reinforcement models are available in normal factions and with Torchlight coming up :)

I've spent some time brainstorming a second draft type list for nomads: + Moran (Repeater) replacing Libertos + Kriza HMG replacing Kriza MK12 (I love this piece, so I'm not letting it go) + Flash Pulse Bot replacing Moderator + Morlock replacing Beasthunter Overall we have a little less DZ defense and our midfield piece is less of a throwaway, but we gain the HMG on the Kriza, the Midfield Repeater (we are playing Hacker/Missles already). Also we have a Morlock that will happily jump into any blender we point it at. Replacing the libertos hurts a little, but I think you get a lot out of the Moran in non-exclusion zone missions (and frankly its hardly bad in exclusion zones either). I like that update to the list a lot.

@@R0bertShepherd Yeah, the Moran is kinda so-so in exclusion zone missions. I'm never sure whether I like the Libertos without minelayer enough, but when you play two SWC guns and Hackers that 1swc becomes expensive. Haha

Nanoespionage vs Dodge is not a F2F roll, right? Since Nanoespionage has no "effect" which is a requirement for F2F rolls.

That's my understanding, yes - I got a dodge because he declared a skill in LOF, which I succeeded. He rolled a medikit shot, which missed. It wasn't actually a face to face roll. :)
