I would love a CHA faction Focus. They have so many good pieces and I would love someone to talk about some of the rarer parts of the faction like Wulvers. While they are not as flashy as other units, you get a lot for the points on an S2 platform that does not have the hackable trait.

I played Morats longer than Shas. And they have changed a lot this edition. They have an interesting points spread. At 35/36/37 they have most of their focused gunfighters. This lets you have the bones of a list but just slot out a Kaitok FB for a Suryat HRL or Yaogat MSR or Rasyat Spitfire. That’s a nice plug and play aspect. I think the Oznat sync is truly too expensive. Even a duo of Daturazi is good so that they get cover. Then ARO smoke is really useful. Rasyat are amazing. Except I lose mine (including the spitfire) always loses to a crit. 😭

The relaunch of morats brought me back to tabletop. I had to toast CB by buying every CA release since the action pack preorder (even the reinforcements). I loved your analysis of "wip14 morat player is smart cuz he took kornak" but i cannot WAIT to finally listen to the line by line. There are publicly available images I could use, yes - the problem is more the limitations to my recording time. Any extra steps in the recording process would mean fewer videos, so I need to record in a way that's as simple and easy as possible.

Great as always. If i were to squeeze in a Raicho, how would i go about doing it? Remove one of the harris and what about an engineer.

One of the great things about a Raicho is that it doesn't need an engineer. Because it can't be isolated and resets out of immobilised on 9s, you want to run it just as very self-sufficient. What purchase would be recommended to play Morat?

Taking a look at the boxes you can buy, it seems like almost all the boxes have good things in them but also some stuff you will get only a bit of mileage out of. The action pack has some essential elements but you'll not often use all three vanguards. Still, start with it. The morat fireteams pack gets you two Suryats, who you'll use a ton. Consider converting the engineer into a hacker by replacing the shotgun with an SMG, his pose is right for a hacker. Absolutely buy Kornak, he's a boss. REMs and Ikadrons will also serve you well. The Morat Tarlok Pack contains a yaogat sniper but the other two models are a bit less useful, so you might consider instead coverting the Raktorak shotgun in the starter pack into a sniper looking dude. Daturazi are very nearly essential and the models are awesome but you could consider buying the Expansion Pack Beta instead and just running the female morats as Daturazi, because you have some gaki proxies then instead. Alternatively, run the Zerat in the starter box as an Oznat and 3D print some suitable gribblies for use as gakis and pretas. A raicho is an awesome TAG but something you can generally buy a bit further down the line.

Bultrack>Raicho :) plus Smoke Grenade launcher > smoke grenade for Oznat. Apart from that all great. However I do think it depends on Meta, I find in the UK people null deploy and this is why. I think you missed total control both bultrack and Raicho are quite weak to it.

As a noob i was waiting to hear about the Sogarat. I have the model. I love the model. I assuming its probably not that great, hence not warrenting the time. Ah well, plenty of food for thought. :)

@@jamesmaybrick2001 the Sogorat is an *outstanding* proxy for a Kaitok fuerbach. You can fit them into lists otherwise, but they have kind of the Bultrak problem writ small - BS13 is just a little low and unlike so many other infantry models in the faction, Sogorat can't join link teams. It leaves them out in the cold a bit.

I assume you must know this already Rob, but just for the benefit of anyone who might not (because I don't think it was that clear in the video), you CAN carbonite and immobilize a dartok. It's not as good as isolating but it's still another option besides trying to brute force a trinity.

Well thought out analysis of my favourite army. I am slightly shocked that Rob even mentions any other lieutenat besides Kornak. Nice that he mentions the lowly Vanguard which I find myself using more and more the more I play. Personally I would like to mention the Suryat +1LT which work great together with the Raicho NCO. While the Yagoat sniper is truly and Apex Predator I find that it falls short against Atalanta. Her BS, B2 and MSV2... And you can't really gimp her like you can attack the other pieces in a Bolt or Zaheydan link for instance.

I am sorry, but running a double raicho list is hilarious simply because morats don't need the jank tech, pair it with a meat mountain list and your opponent will just look at you sideways.
