Thanks for the game Rob, you have my list largely correct. It's one that went through a few iterations and I've found to have the right combination attack pieces and specialists. There is definitely a fine art in pushing your luck to get the outcome together with an element of surprise that can tilt an opponent. I think the repeated sentence of "he failed the roll, I succeed mine" summed up nearly all the face to face rolls that game!! Quite aside from that fact, if we played it again, the outcome would likely be similar and I was outclassed in the match up. There were a few key items that I think lead to my downfall. I don't get regular games in against Tohaa and struggle with the profile mix, more so with the models. You had near correctly guessed my list from deployment while I was still trying to recall the difference between a Sukiel/Sakiel. Your list was perfectly optimised for this mission while mine was more focused on being an all-comers approach with subtle variation based on opponent rather than mission. Accordingly, I feel I lacked answers to the resilience of your ARO pieces, compounded by the minelayer speculo being locked down (through misunderstanding no less!). The orders needed to drive the malignos forward gutted my second BS speculo, who should have been deployed far more conservatively. My HVT dropping in front of your MB was a key twist to your favor. As you pointed out, the flat roof made far more of the table visible than was otherwise apparent given the huge height variance - this is probably my only criticism of the BC terrain and this table, much the same as the challenges we had at Novacore. I was very reliant upon the Q drone and Noctifer to hold an opponent back and consume orders however they did not achieve much, leading to a cascade in defenses. In hindsight I would adjust the positioning of these to better defensively cover the consoles rather than contest the long lanes. If my caliban had have been one level higher I think I would have been better placed to avoid the pheroware or at least make it more order intensive - as a MB chocie it was certainly my weak link. Disappointing to have the top table game be such a walk over but there's always next tournament!

I think it’s also really difficult to attack Tohaa with Speculo. It was an uphill battle for you Luke, my only suggestion would’ve been to attack with the q drone on turn 1, you might’ve been able to do some damage, but only if the dice gods were in your favour! Congrats Rob

It would have been a good choice in the matchup for sure, but I'm not sure what his second list was or if it could play Cryogenics.

I had mixed results with the Sphinx in SEF and decided against running it in my lists for the mission line up being contested. There was a lot of pressure to build towards midfield button pressing and I found I could not adequately address that and build in a Sphinx without making the list easy to pick apart. SEF have next to no resilience so being able to pick out mission critical pieces was a concern.

@@R0bertShepherd sorry I should of clarified. The mine interaction where he wanted to do a partial vault to clear the token but you said it would activate because he could not squeeze by. Where you ended up rolling off to decide. Was trying to see if there was an official ruling on it
