Thx for the battrep. A couple minor things : - coup de grâce is still a thing in C1 (p48 cc skill) - reset works both against the attack and to reset the state imo. - being partially obscured by the building you are standing on count as being in cover according to hellois (cb enployee) on Facebook. Hope to see more encounter with Owen in the future. 😘

This was a great fight! I think I learned a few things, too. The power of going second in these kind of games. I feel like Owen should’ve chosen to go second. Having that last turn push is key. That Shas ability to still be worth points while unconscious is going to be important for them to win games. As a new player of this army, I didn’t realize how that could be hard to counter.

Just a note: at 17:25 when the Gamma passed the Face-to-Face Reset roll it actually cancelled the Imm-B state And prevented the Spotlight. Personally I really like this change in the rules as it prevents hackers from locking down unit be forcing f2f rolls. The rule is spelled out in the last bullet of the Reset action (page 66). Also they changed how Regeneration works, it is no longer an order it just optional during the states phase at the end of your turn.

Just got my base set and acquired a copy of Red Veil for some more models to use in the future. I'm really digging the quick pace but the over and under dice results are a bit confusing. Under for most tests but over for armor saves? Is that right? Just assembled all of my minis so I haven't been able to play a learning match yet.

when you are immobilized from carbonite you reset at -6, not only will it get rid of imm state but also work in ftf rolls.

So the new rules allow armour rolls for crits? Don't like it... I liked it when anything could hit anything else and leave that in the mind of the active turn player... Not as much risk/reward...

A crit gives you two damage/armor rolls, so it's not an auto damage, but also potentially is double damage. Makes the higher armor types more resistant though, yeah. It does still win the roll unless vs another crit.

I like the new crit mechanic a lot more than the old one cause it's not an auto gimp of the higher ARM models and forces people to take stuff that counters the high ARM models when list building. Back when crits bypassed ARM completely, shitty little combi shots could neuter models that were up to 4 times their cost just due to a "lucky roll".
