Tonality is good but the bass arrays are causing it to have far too much bass. Is it like that in person? Maybe a matter of preference but if it were my system I would either try to get them out of the corners to knock the bass down or adjust the gain of the amps feeding them to be more balanced. Sounds like they are shelved a good 5-10 dB above the rest of the system, if not more.

@@craigellsworth3952 Are you deaf? Its bassy as fuck in the recording, probably because he has the bass modules in the corners of the room, giving substantial gain as I said. Its acoustics, not some sort of mumbo-jumbo that audiophiles think it is. I bet you probably don't even have any hi-fi equipment, just like to talk shit. I wasn't saying it was even bad in my comment, just in need of adjustment if the audio is any indicator of what it sounds like in reality.

The problem with looking at graphs, is that they can't really convey all the information our ears are picking up, consciously, but especially unconsciously. Sure, the bass sounds a little boosted in this recording, but probably sounds correct in person. I'm mostly solid state guy myself, but I do have a tube amp. And it does things solid state gear doesn't. I've also owned and heard VERY good measuring, affordable solid state gear. It's a great bang for the buck, but it almost always sounds sterile. Show me sterile vs emotionally involving on a graph, when both pieces are pretty neutral... Before you say it, I don't like wasting money either. I've bought and sold more expensive gear before settling on the system I have now and it's the best I've owned, not just 'good enough.'

I repair high end audio equipment and you don't want to know what garbage distortion numbers these single ended billion dollar tube amps achieve. I will stick with my old school MDA300's. It's not that I have anything against tubes being a collector of E H Scott radios.
