Really good video! Do the frequency response of the speaker remains the same as with orginal diaphragm? Are the voice coil and the magnet the most important when talking about the sound the driver produces? Thank you very much!

Wenn der Magnet nicht weiter beschädigt ist lässt sich das reparieren, oxidierter Neodym oder gebrochene Magneten müssen ausgetauscht werden

A guy with a speaker repair company in San Diego told me over the phone that you can just remove the covers of these and run them like that this not needing to re cover them with something new. Is this correct or no?

No. How would they produce sound?

@@user-kw9qu2gz8v it makes sound if it is cracked, so it makes sound when you remove the dome part. The sound ist just different. But it is also if you use a new original polydome, or a 30 years old original polydome...

Falls die Polydomes hart sind, wie aus einem Kaffeedeckel zum Mitnehmen, dann ist es falsch. Sollten weich wie das Original sein, aus Silikon

if the dome is not present, all you have is a voice coil flopping around. The voice coil moves the dome, which in turn, produces sound. No dome, no sound. I think the speaker repair guy who told you that may have been on drugs.
