All the comments are valid and it's great to hear ideas that will help people use the Infinity Wax products. Help, guidance and suggestions are welcome always.

Generally, to really unclog a coating, I always use fallout remover, t&g remover then waterspot remover after a contact wash to really clean the pores of the coating out. 9 time's out of 10, it works a treat.
@thecarboutique246711 ай бұрын
Great advice buddy. I wouldn't normally expect to do that after 3 months but due to heavy contamination over winter, it may be the case it is needed. At the 6 month test I will focus on full declog and see of it perks the coating up more. Cheers for watching as always.

Great video guys! I currently have synergy lite on my car and I’m looking to upgrade to synergy 2 when it dies off. Boost is such a great product, so easy to use and instant results!!
@thecarboutique246711 ай бұрын
Cheers buddy and thanks for watching. These products are not the most potent on the market but they do an honest job at a good price point.

I've been using Autoglym Polar Seal as a topper to my Gyeon ceramic coated cars and found it to be very effective. I think they claim 1 month protection and it would be good to do a comparison between them both.
@itsallinthedetailing278411 ай бұрын
Another cracking video guys, Absolutely loving that boost but water behaviour wasn’t the best from prewash n snowfoam, but for a topper for £1 a month you can’t grumble 👌🏻
@thecarboutique246711 ай бұрын
Agreed buddy. I think this car needed a more potent process to unclog the coating. I am saying this as I would not expect the Synergy 2 to start degrading that quick so I will defend it at this point. This being said we did use ODK Regen at a high concentration to unclog the coating so maybe GT Decon next time. Cheers for watching buddy.

Great review guys. I've used Autoglym Polar Seal as my topper in the winter, never really looked at how long it lasted as my last van was washed every other week (weather dependent) but it did exactly what it said it would. As you said in the summary ALL these types of products are getting better year on year, so it's going to be hard to find a really bad one. It will be the longevity claims that will probably decide what people buy though.

Excellent video guys, Glad you didn't get your words muddled up when saying "Towel job and a blow dry" 😂😂

Yes I concentrated at that point lol.

With my own car I like to just do a hose rinse off leaving little water on the car then pat dry with a damp towel, boost is also good in a spray bottle, lasts a lot longer for me
@thecarboutique246711 ай бұрын
Cheers Mark. Will defo try the boost in a spray bottle technique.

Andy & Carl, Did you guys do another review at 6/9 months? Great video by the way!
@thecarboutique2467Ай бұрын
Hiya Andrew. We are currently shooting a revisit video where we are using this product again. Part of that video will be a full return update on the initial application. It is an interesting video so we should have it released before Xmas. Cheers.

I was convinced on moving away from my wax to synergy 2 from your previous video, That’s made me question whether to or not. Are you guys not a bit disappointed in the longevity?
@thecarboutique246711 ай бұрын
When we applied Synergy 2 to this car it was effortless and the results were superb. On retest during this video it seems the coating, albeit after just 3 months, is heavily affected by road contamination clogging the coating and thus giving us less than expected hydrophobic reaction. I think that this coating needs to be chemically decontaminated regularly to ensure it performs as intended.

great video, still a little hesitant to get this product, will definatly wait for the 6 month update. P.S any chance you can upload the videos higher than 720p so we can really see the detail better?
@thecarboutique24677 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. Defo on the resolution. The mistake I made was my video editing software defaulted to low resolution. All future videos will be produced in 4k. Cheers.

Great video gents. How many miles has the Venice done in the 3 months? Is it a daily driver? Can I suggest Synergy QD as another alternative for a topper I alternate between on mine.
@thecarboutique246711 ай бұрын
Yes it's a daily driver and done approx 4k since initial ceramic application.

Nice updated, thank you guys, Not the best water behavior after wash, I know that synergy light is a very popular product, but it doesn't look good

Good video guys, debating weather to try it or not. Was going to try it before winter, Too many negative comments on here. Actually good to see a honest review! Just applied fusso 12 months so I’ll see how long that lasts. Didn’t do well previously

Hiya buddy. We have been sent a brand new bottle of the Synergy 2 as it was possible that the bottle we used in the review had expired its shelf life. We will re-shoot the video using the new product. If the product does not perform well again, then at least we have ruled it out and we then can stand firm on our initial observations. Thanks for being patient.

Ive had Synergy 2 on my 20 year old car for a year still beads great and drys itself on the move.
@thecarboutique246710 ай бұрын
Thanks buddy. When we do the 6 month review we will carry out a full chemical decon just to make sure the coating isn't clogged.
@decker037311 ай бұрын
I may make myself look a wally here but, it wont be the last time..... is the longevity claim of a coating based on the car just being cleaned, maybe with intermittent decon washes to unclog, or all of that but with toppers? Being pedantic, if youre topping, it's no longer the coating, is it, its the topper.... very confusing.😅😅
@thecarboutique246711 ай бұрын
The longevity claim from most ceramic sellers is a generic statement based on regular maintenance washes. There is no industry standard so this is where longevity claims get blurred. I have used many ceramic coatings that respond well to standard maintenance washes then every month a maintenance wash with acidic shampoo etc. If a ceramic coating needs additional unclogging work then this should be clearly stated on the packaging to ensure the customer gets the best user experience from the product. On the subject of using the topper, this is why we clearly did the test when the car was dirty, when it had only pre wash, after the contact wash, then after the topper. This showed the progressive improvement as we went through the process. My personal oppinion is that when a brand advertise a longevity claim, then this claim should be achievable as a stand alone product and not requiring additional help from other products. Cheers for watching buddy and you raise valid points.
@triggerhappyautos11 ай бұрын
Class video. I must say i felt massively disappointed even after your pre wash and acidic shampoo.....it didn't look anywhere near as good as i thought it would. Is it a 2 year coating if you apply boost monthly? Or a 2 year coating without any toppers? As i feel its a bit of a cop out having to top up ceramic coatings to maintain the longevity claims on the bottle 👍👍
@thecarboutique246711 ай бұрын
Synergy 2 states it is a 2 year coating as a stand alone product. It does not say that you need to apply Boost to get that longevity. The retest at the 6 month point will be interesting.
@elliott82516 ай бұрын
Have you been maintaining the car since application or has the owner took it through a normal car wash at all? If so they would of stripped most of the coating with the chemicals they use.
@thecarboutique24676 ай бұрын
Not sure buddy but I agree with your hypothesis.
@coastersteve2 ай бұрын
3 years ago I gave Synergy Lite a go and it was poor. A year later I did a full decon, machine polish to remove the dreg ends of the coating, panel prep and applied Synergy 2. I found just the same as you guys, very very poor. A few months ago I did the full decon again, machine polish and put Carpro QCUK on the car. You shouldn't have to faff around with boost and the like to keep a coating beading.
@thecarboutique24672 ай бұрын
Thanks buddy. We gave an honest review and was surprised by the poor results. We have a brand new bottle so we are going to repeat the test to see if it was just a bad bottle. Appreciate the feedback.
@michelevers591610 ай бұрын
Honestly I think a 2years protection does not match with the (cheapest) price of the product, otherwise the unclog is not doing with the right products. Due to the low price of this product you can also already break down the coating a bit thanks to the alkaline and acid gradation what is use.
@chrisbradley322411 ай бұрын
Pretty weak for 3 months. I’ve used Gyeon Mohs Evo and it’s been parked outside 24/7 and it beads like day 1 after 4 months with regular rinseless washes. I do love Synergy Boost and use it on my family’s uncoated cars.
@tier1detailing11 ай бұрын
Man, the ceramic industry desperately needs to be regulated. So hard to trust longevity claims!
@liamneale18319 ай бұрын
Ide be disappointed with that personally, I’ll be picking something else when i coat my car
@petersmith7126Күн бұрын
Waxes are no better let's be honest ..... Fusso, amongst some others, makes claims of 12 months of protection from Soft 99 yet in reality on a daily driver doing 10,000 miles a year it's maybe closer to 6 months and that's a car parked in the garage out of the elements
@paulbartlett201511 ай бұрын
£3 for 600ml.....you can use another lance applied coating that costs 50p for 500ml.and last 3 months. Boost was supposed to make all other lance applied sealants look rubbish......it didn't.

Hiya and thanks for watching. To aid this conversation, can I ask what product you are referring to. Cheers.
@Saddedude9 ай бұрын
for how clean that thing is there shouldnt be much loss of hydrophobicity
@thecarboutique24679 ай бұрын
I agree. When we do the 6 month assessment, we will do full decon and see how the product is performing. Thanks for watching.
@glynnbrewster280110 ай бұрын
Thats not right after 3 months, have been using synergy lite and 2 for a good while now and its never been like that. Regulars that come every 6 months its still very hydraphobic. Please tell me you used synergy prep before application? If so speak to Mike at infinity as this isnt right.
@thecarboutique246710 ай бұрын
The application of this product was correct involving full maintenance wash, chemical and mechanical decontamination, clay, machine polishing and yes we did use prep. The results are exactly as tested and the guys at infinity are fully aware of my results. The only explanarion I can give is potential clogging of the coating. It will be interesting at the 6 month point as I plan to use water spot remover and potentially fallout to declog.

My gtechnic looks much better than this after a l yr of application and I use tfr on it to to pre wash this time of yr. that looks awful use a quality ceramic coating my advice I avoid this product looks very poor
