for question 1, c how did you know what t to substitute into the question. for example you substituted 40 into the differentiated question and not the non differentiated? Also very helpful video

Because, it says v=number of daily viewers, and then they tell you the number of daily viewers is 3520, so you need to sub it into the non differentiated equation.

In Q2 C (ii), in the very last step when you have the formula to find d and any given time, why did you use the time as 0, isn't the time at maximum height 0.29 because when maximum height is reached, v(t) = 0 so you can solve to find what t is when v(t)= 0, which is 0.29. This means you substitute 0.29 in in the very last step to get the answer of 26.24. This is the same answer as the marking schedule. Is this right or have I stuffed something up? Thanks in advance

yes you have done it correct and he has atcually done it wrong, cuz he only found the height of the cliff. However, the question clearly tells u to find the max height.

16:52 this is probably really obvious but how do we know that answer is what the max is in 48 months. I don't see the 48 being used in the calculation so whats to say that its the amount of daily viewers for 1 day? or 1 year? compared to 48?

In Q3 B, why do you use t=0 when the information given for the question says t=3? Why don't you sub in t=3 to work out what C equals? Thanks

Sir, In question 1b, instead of using y-y1=m(x-x1) can i solve it using y=mx+c, where y=5, m=6.5, and x=2. I get the same value of c= -8, so the final equation i get is y=6.5x-8 ???

Of course, y=mx+c is just another way of learning it and if it is more comfortable for you and gets you the right answer then there’s no problem :)

how do you know that you answered the question the way the marking schedule wants you to? because for 1c(iii) I found the point where V=10000, saw that there was only one such point and determined that the graph was increasing at that point therefore V never goes below that point. which gets the answer but according to the marking schedule that's not even an achieved

its a cubic graph, it has to up and down, therefore we are seeing if v ever goes below 10,000, both answers to T indicate that V doesnt go below 10,000

the x value is only from the origin to where it is on the x axis. so you need two of them for the other side

if you look at the question it says that "A and B are points on the parabola y=9-x^2" so its just substitution so you can get rid of Y and only have x in the area equation

1:03:44 Question 3d(ii) You showed that Area(tri) = Area(rect) when Area(total) is max. READ THE QUESTION AGAIN. You had to show that Area(total) is max when Area(tri) = Area(rect), that's the other way around. These 2 things are different, so this is totally wrong answer, including the NZQA assessment schedule. Too Bad!!
