It's a beautiful phone, definitely great design. But my impression is that the processor is a step behind in relation to the whole set. I think it should bring a better option with 5G included, at least the Dimensity 1080 for example.

@@mizkidlamar4651 If that were the case, I would probably have chosen a more powerful chipset. The DM1080 is for everyday use with reasonable performance for the mid-range segment and already prepared for 5G, we're talking about the "Pro" version, remember that.

@@andresouza5751 It's a Pro version with 4G, that's why you won't get any Dimensity chipset and it stills an excellent phone with an insane value for money. If you want a 5G version, you can get Note 30 5G or wait for the Note 30 VIP, which is expected to be a 5G phone with D8050.

It's got good specs for the money obviously but my experience with Infinix is that XOS just feels rough around the edges. It's like it's not very well thought- out (I'm using an Infinix Zero X Neo). Finicky too in terms of USB flash drive compatibility, unlike my other phones. I hope Infinix sorts out their software.

I agree with you on this but the latest XOS 13.0 (based on Android 13) is way more polished than ever before. Previously I hated it as well, but today, you can see that Infinix has made way better improvements.

One year of os update, maybe two for higher models, but can't guarantee any timeline because infinix tend to roll out updates very slow, but they are selling at a cheap price for solid hardware so it's more like are you ready to invest without the guaranteed os and security updates

No, unfortunately Infinix still don't have a schedule of Android updates. Security patches are a mixed bag. I'm still getting them both with my Hot 11S and Zero X Pro, but I have no idea when they will stop. On camera, it's a minor, but relevant upgrade. The 108MP main camera of my Zero X Pro is a Samsung HM2, while Note 30 Pro has a Samsung HM6, which has a slightly bigger sensor, aperture and pixel size.

No no no, maybe Dimensity 920 is more logical with the pricing, if they wanna kill competition under 1k might go for Dimensity 1080 or SD778, but that won't happen, unless later this year Mediatek makes another Helio G series with an actual upgrade to performance and finally enable 5g for Helio G series, but who knows when and we'll see what happens in the future

@@Keledai_tampan In my opinion they should charge a extra 80, maybe 100 dollars for this phone, being in the price range of the GT Neo Flash and K40 Gamming, bringing the DM1200, since we're talking about the "Pro" version. Leaving the H99 for the basic version. Or just add the DM1080 with a slight price adjustment, keeping the "more affordable" proposition. It would be competitive enough to leave Xiaomi and Samsung behind.
