This entire video is just him being defensive about his phone instead of taking the feedback and people actually love him for this somehow.. like complaining about the guy from LTT reviewing the phone and completely discrediting his issue. He says each generation is same as the last one, but thats how all phones work, EVEN THE PHONE YOU PRODUCE. You are not supposed to compare phones from last year, of course changes are small year over year. But its the bigger picture that matters.
@udaysingh9_11

@@Glade4 I think it is about the perspective. They want to be like apple. Apple has an identity because they are not changing frequently. I am not biased but trying to understand what he wants from his brand.

@@udaysingh9_11 let's not compare a highly mature organisation with a startup atleast as customers. Apple releases a product after they make the most of the hardware with the software. The reason Phone 2 scored less than Phone 1 is the "price to performance ratio". It's significantly more expensive so reviewers should be more critical. It's priced like a pixel so it should have the same camera performance (more or less).
@willzarke
@willzarke 10 ай бұрын
but Pixel also has a worse chip inside, worse screen (on the regular 7), and overall a less interesting design. But I agree with the notion that price to performance ratio, it is less compelling this year.

@@MuiKaHo it does actually. Pixel 7 performance is really a coinflip bc tensor and pixel ui is inconsistent across patches. It can get from "buttery smooth" like those reviews claims to stacks of lags and bugs, and even random heat up. I've used the phone for 6 months and boy I couldn't stand it but sell away bc the battery is terribly inconsistent, it can be a fullday or die some where in the afternoon with the same tasks, and it get insanely hot on mobile data which also affecting the battery even more. The May patch was a nightmare for all the tensor user that google took extra time to release the next patch half a month late, yet cannot revert it back to april patch consistently. Wow I appreciate him for this review like I never seen a CEO doing reviews but honestly he really didn't made it like it's for a teenager the monochrome mode and the simple and few useful options on lockscreen make a lot more sense cause the phone is really focused on user being productive and that's really nice cause we need that and literally don't add any third party app on lockscreen it will be a distraction and nothing more I am really impressed by the product and the CEO of nothing if I ever get a chance i would love to spend a whole day with him and know more about him and how nothing works ~ regards

Really loved watching this and knowing for fact that the organizers are involved with getting user input and addressing the issues in their products in a proactive way. I hope to join the Nothing brand members as well in the future as I relate with the vision of organizing life. My main turn off about every phone now a days though are the notch/punch hole cameras and I hope we can transition to an under display camera set up as the norm one day.

Input / personal hopes for the Phone(3): Glyph update - make the two smallest stripes in the circle RGB and let people assign custom app notification with custom colors to it. Let them blink in the color and then always fade back to white. (for example the reddit app pings a notification - assigned right or left strip lights up orange (or color set by the user), if u see it at the moment you immediately know which app notified you and if it's set to hold the notification it slowly fades back to white so it doesn't mess a bit with the glyphs aesthetic and concept of the monochromatic phone) Them being symmetricial will hide it, if there's an issue with RGB stripes not being able to reach the same peak brightness. Big improvment in useability and it opens the floor for sick new unique animations. - the obvious one: optimize everything possible out of the camera. Otherwise all the changes from phone(1) leveled it up to be perfect in this day and time.

This review actually tipped the balance towards the phone 2 for me, just because of the fact that there is someone who is transparent and committed to see the product refines based on user reviews! A major software option would be to activate or turn on (passive update tracker) - a unique option that tracks everything you do on the nothing phone, this would be scored to an algorithm to best see which parts of an update would be most suited to how you use the phone, if you want a full update then disable it, if you want a quicker and more selective user tailored update it feels like the company is regulating themselves to help you as an individual on a personal level. No need to flash all the updated things, just experience it.

Hey ! Carl... I bought a nothing phone 2 in exchange of an iPhone, despite having been an apple phone. I still love iPad ... First things first.. You have solved a big problem ; how to have an iPhone like no-bullshitting experience at the same time have the flexibilities of an android OS. Plus you have enhanced the overall experience beyond one metric of simplicity. You have done one more thing, you have given a message to the a smartphone users... "Be smart with your lifestyle choices", Nothing phone 2 and perhaps 2a as well now , are such clutter free clean OS and that monochrome UI with numerous customization options helps you do just anything from the home screen itself... Tidy and thoughtful !!
