Hi Josh. I recently purchased a pulsar thermion 2 duo dxp55 iv he'd it out a couple of time now sorting out a few pigs 🐖. Have you had a chance to have a look at one? Having the ability to have day and night capability is fantastic and seeing pigs in heavy cover in the day with the thermal combined with the 4k day chanal us a game changer 🇦🇺

Haha well like I said I would love to test it out some good cold thermal weather but it’s a bit hard over here atm when the average daytime temperatures are above 30 degrees Celsius. Don’t get me wrong it is an excellent device and the picture quality is the best I’ve used in a monocular but just when you want to quick scan around to find and animal, I sometimes miss them as they don’t stand out real well but I am pretty sure that is only to do with the warmer ambient temperatures at this time of the year.

@@martincallaghan8817 yes I’m sure it will be a lot better in the cooler months. This time of the year is always a lot less favourable for using thermal. Haha yes it is a lot of money but if you want to get good thermal gear then you have to be prepared to pay at least that much or more. 👍

Looks pretty good but a little expensive! Thanks for the great review my friend!
@intothenight1993 Жыл бұрын
It is actually pretty reasonably priced for what it is. This is $4200 AUD I was talking about. Over there it would be around $2700 USD. Most thermal units even monoculars with the better 640x512 sensor in them start around that or higher and if you want a rifle scope with the same sensor you are looking at paying at least around the $5k - $8k AUD for the top end 640 units like my Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XP50 PRO.

Hi Josh, I just purchased the InfiRay FH35R V2 Finder, Iove it so far, question, is there somewhere that tells you what the symbols in the menu stand for. You think they could have put them in the user guide hey. Keep the content coming mate, love your work, cheers Mick.
@intothenight19938 ай бұрын
hey mate congratulations! yes you would think so but they don't as far as am aware. So I have made a list for you below of what they all do. Finder FH35R V2 Main Menu Icons 1. Not sure what exactly it means but basically turning it on makes the image pop a bit more and defines the edges a bit better. 2. Wifi 3. Live Video Out via the micro HDMI port on the bottom. 4. PIP (Picture in Picture) 5. Compass 6. Gyroscope so you know what angle of elevation you are looking etc 7. Screen off when you take it away from your eye. 8. Microphone on/off 9. Switches LRF Measurements between Yards or Meters 10. Goes to the second menu page In that menu > 1. Changes between Auto and Manuel Sensor Calibration 2. Changes the viewer between a cooler colour temperature and a warmer one. 3. Pixel corrector to fix dead pixels of ones that aren’t functioning correctly (I’ve never had to use this before) 4. Compass recalibration 5. Set Date and Time 6. Device Info 7. Factory Reset 8. Return to Main Menu

I have no idea how to attach this handstrap. Do you know it is supposed to work?
@intothenight19932 ай бұрын
@@dirks6796 haha I had never actually used mine with the hand strap on. But I just tried and what you can do is loop the neck strap part (that attaches through the same hole) through the loop on the hand piece and then back through itself. So it will be attached to the neck strap string, not the device if that makes sense?
@dirks67962 ай бұрын
@@intothenight1993 Yeah I get it and also had it this way already but that is not how it is supposed to be done, is it? I am really clueless.

@@intothenight1993 I just bought my first thermal, it’s InfiRay iris 19 and have been comparing it to a thermtec cyclops 315pro , I have been using thermal during the day in mostly scrubby bush as scanning tool,I prefer the thermtec because of lower base magnification and black hot and white hot mode is more obvious with finding game however I still like iris19 for the size and holster, also it have better range and clearer image But just started playing with the settings contrast and brightness

The problem with thermal is they are far too expensive for the average person to own. One would have to win the lotto to afford one and i don't mean the wins i only seem to get, around $15
@intothenight1993 Жыл бұрын
I depends on how you look at it mate. Some people spend $20,000 + on a boat or car and most of the time they sit in the shed and don’t get used. I use my $8k thermal scope every week and can justify the investment. Thermals are coming down in price compared to what they have been in the past.
@urbanandruralsurvival10 ай бұрын
Not really actually, 2500 dollars is really not all that much money. Think about how many people out there own 2500 dollar toys, guns, atvs, on and on. Just because it is "thermal" or "night vision" doesn't mean its some pipe dream.
