Designed for writers and method actors who have never studied psychology and who have no interest in studying psychology. This series outlines each of the sixteen Jungian personality archetypes to better get you inside your character’s head. Special emphasis on how each type processes and priorities information, the nuances of their communication style, how their humor manifests, and what each type looks like as a villainous character. This week's focus is on the INFJ's personality.

When you said that part about INFJ’s wanting to share their innermost thoughts only to have them be treated with disdain (even rejected) hit me like ton of bricks! Its like you pulled that out of my mind. I have tried to share my very inner person with people only for them to react in a way I found uncomfortable. I no longer share my inner self with anyone, not even family. I really want to, but I don’t trust anyone. At times it’s a lonely existence

That does sound terrible and I'm sorry you've had to deal with that for so long. You try so hard to be responsible with those around you and how you interact with them, only to have your own worth called into question when you do anything that's not immediately attached to those others. I admit I struggled a lot with this video in trying to get my head wrapped around the dynamic. Everyone has these experiences, but some types, like INFJs, really, really care. I'm a type that doesn't care much--I can brush it off while simultaneously waving a middle finger, but you care and it hits you hard. I know some other INFJs have found some benefit to understanding their own predicaments from CS Joseph's "Vice and Virtue of INFJs" video. He talks about how INFJs go about finding others who are willing to accept what you have to offer, rather than making you feel trapped in a one-way relationship. I hope it helps you, too.

As an INFJ, I keep my friends circle small and think I'm the special best friend to someone, until I know that the other friends is an Extrovert and you are just happened to be in their circle because of their outgoing personality until one day you realized slowly they replaced you easily with someone else., And that hurts.
@cynthiapayne9906
@cynthiapayne9906 3 жыл бұрын
It's not so much that you are replaceable because they're an extrovert and easily interchange people due to their outgoing-ness, but more that their threshold to offer that first olive branch is a lot lower than most introverts' would be. They are more willing to go out there and meet people, but they are still looking for a return on investment for the relationship, whatever that relationship might be. If they are not getting what they need or want from the relationship then they will seek those things somewhere else. The rest is a dance and constant negotiation of time invested, emotional connection, and willingness to be vulnerable. All difficult things. It doesn't mean you weren't really friends, just that some relationships naturally come to an end more quickly than others. And that's okay.

The emotional is all great but somehow when they meet someone who is maybe more hype than me, or more outgoing, I was left behind little by little and be forgotten. When their circle is become smaller, then they started to call me and talk to me, meanwhile all these time they just left their friend there alone. I had the same problem, but I was trying to take small steps, that I was uncomfortable with but not in a way that I would show so much that it would have hurt really bad if the reaction wasn't good for me. I've seen in many cases, it is not that bad - sometimes it is of course, but in genereal it was good to showing more of myself. You can start with a tiny statement, so it would not be that hurtful, if it is not heard or even dismissed. (For example: a friend of mine called me a shopper, because I chaneged my style to explore new sides of myself. And I just nodded. Next time I said, look at my room, there is barely enough to be ddictet to shopping. - She saw it.)

As much as I agree with most of the video, the point you make about trying to fit in due to an INFJ's sensitive nature is not that accurate. Personally, I have always had an extreme need to question norms and challenge trends - questioning them and the people who follow them. The fact that we are sensitive works in a nuanced way when looking at conformity. On the one hand, the INFJ is very sensitive, however a healthy INFJ understands that not everyone can except you and so you, ultimately, must except yourself, which is one of the most powerful steps the INFJ must take before they can truly shine. Take this analogy: you put on a weird outfit that your family does not like. You explain to them why you like it and they finally understand. However, now you must go to public dressed like this, and there ought to be those that hate the way you look. An unhealthy INFJ may be prone to feel insecure because of how sensitive they are to other emotions, however a healthy INFJ would learn to block other peoples opinions as they become wiser as they can see the bigger picture of the problem. Personally, I have always been my own counsellor as I have high moral integrity and have a strong desire to fight for justice, therefore, I value my own emotions and health as I see the way things affect me and why they do. The more I grow, the better I have become with shielding my emotions, which in turn sometimes makes me look cold inside, but really, I am dealing with the hyper awareness of everyones emotions and energies. Thus, healthy INFJ's, however old they may be, can be very sure in themselves, therefore rejecting the societal norm which expects them to follow trends or feel insecure amongst others.

I really appreciate your comment and I spent some time mulling it over. I haven't done my deep dive into the INFP yet, but everything you are saying is striking me as very INFP--right down to your heavy use of Si and Fi statements and your example of fashion choices. For instance, one of the big insecurities of INFJs and something they must work to overcome is performance anxiety--the fear of not performing well, which is why they procrastinate so much. On the other hand, INFPs are usually unconcerned too much with their performance but are insecure about what others think of them and about their own reputation and working through that and learning to become more true to themselves and their beliefs is the INFPs' challenge. Like I said, I haven't done my deep research into the type yet and I'm not about to hold myself up as any kind of expert on even the ones I have--I'm just curious and figuring things out as I go--but I would be interested in hearing if you have done any research into the INFP and specifically if that type resonated with your own personality? If I'm interpreting my notes correctly, they are one of the two types prone to making... shall we say, 'quirky' fashion choices. I suspect you are actually an INFP. Again, I'm new to MBTI, but my understanding is that most tests often confuse the INFJ and INFP, so I am curious about your own personal journey there and would love to hear back from you. Thank you again so much for watching!

@@cynthiapayne9906 Thank you for your reply. The analogy with which I used came from the top of my head - something I thought most could relate to. However, to answer, indeed it may seem by my words that I may be an INFP, however, the only shared characteristic is that I have a strong need to stand up for my self and individuality. This however, I may argue, comes from personal experiences that have moulded such responses. In fact, an INFJ truly grows when they encounter new people and the experiences which come from them. Through this an INFJ is able to grow themselves, which is something they so often leave for others. When they realise their own value and purpose, they then understand how to support their own needs. However, the vital factor of such an INFJ is that they are healthy, meaning they grow into themselves and are able to control they sensitivity. This was a process I had to get used to at a young age. I would also say that standing up for justice (whatever matter that may be) is a quality that INFJ's share intensely, and so when they grow into their self-awareness, there is an intense need to remain integral to such morals. Personally, I realised that growth is a value I hold dear, and it would be unwise to let everyone except for myself grow. Thus, the need for self-justice arrises and is something they must work towards - not something they are particularly born with. It comes down to the type of INFJ and their experiences. I hope this makes some sense.

INFJ. I've never had an "extreme need" to deviate from the norm, however I do tend to be judgemental towards the people who are obsessed with following trends. I think this trait shows up somewhat in regards to my music taste, as I take pride in having a colorful musical palette including a variety of pretty obscure songs, and CAN NOT STAND people who are proud of listening to the most mainstream, formulaic music possible. I think, at least for me, I like to be unique, but I don't feel overly obligated to stand out or be controversial (at least in person). Question everything, of course, but it does feel nice to have the sense that you fit in somewhere. And I think that sensitivity is always there, no matter how mentally strong I become. Even if I can stand my ground and shake it off easily, there will always be that little mental "Ouch." Not to say that you aren't an INFJ-- I don't doubt you. That's just my personal experience.

Actually as an INFJ, I do support what the narrator said in the video. For as long as I could remember I have struggled to fit in even though I wanted so bad. I was very sensitive, shy and would cry easily so I ended up with no freinds for a very long period. And when I started to break a little out of my shell, I simply wasn't true to my self and I would lie and hide my true personality from the other kids at school just so that I can be seen as cool and to feed my deep desire for belonging. Yet I was never able to achieve it even after changing school. Until I decided to simply accept the way I am and that I am not like the others. It was and still is a long ass process and If I could I would do whatever I can to change myself and be able to fit in and get rid of that feeling of being an outcast cause it simply wasn't my choice to be different.

I believe the main issue here isn't much about talking about different types, instead I think we're just confusing immature and mature INFJs. Yolanda's description sounds a lot like what personal challenges an INFJ overcomes when they mature. Mature types grow and learn to live healthier with themselves and their characteristics, strength and flaws. I believe that has to do with the disconnection here, as we usually do not talk about types in their mature, balanced phases, instead we usually (as I'd say the video does) focus on more exaggerated characteristics, closer to the archetypal and the immature.

The vast majority of the time, there is no conflict and INFJs are gentle and kind individuals because they enjoy being kindhearted individuals, so why not? But remember the context of these videos--writing fictional characters. It is the responsibility of the writer to understand where the weaknesses and loopholes of their characters are so that the writer can exploit those weaknesses for maximum dramatic value. Without drama and conflict, there is no entertainment. INFJs offer a deliciously unique loophole to their normally kind and gentle personna, but you have to know where it is before you can use it. INFJs will give you their heart--so long as they haven't already given their heart to someone they perceive as having been hurt in *some* way by you. And an emotionally strategic as they are, their loyalties can be very difficult to read. Thanks for watching!

Dumbledore was able to do all this, but with this illogical unconditional faith/believed in Harry. He manipulates the plans, but guilds Harry with no “manipulation” directly on his development, which makes possibility of getting to desire outcome such small possibilities. Its because Harry was the chosen one, too, by Dumbledore. Amorality but full of spirituality and empathy somehow to humanity. I couldn’t really explain it. I was still young when I finished Harry Potter, but Dumbledore’s motive just made so much sense that I got it without giving too much thoughts into it. A very INFJ characteristic I suppose?

Cynthia Payne In my perspective was Voldemort chose Harry, so his the chosen one. But what I was saying was that, Dumbledore chose Harry as the person that could carry on with his plans, rather than just manipulate him like a tool because realistically this seems more controllable. he didn't have unconditional faith in harry. He CREATED Harry, then guided him. Aside from Harry being a horcrux and having to deal with the part of Voldemort within him, Harry was everything Voldemort wasn't....they make a yin/yang sort of, like Neo and Smith in the Matrix. and like Neo in the first movie, Harry had to believe it himself. Dumbledore is like the Oracle. Harry knew what it meant to be powerless against tyrannical "parents". Harry and Voldemort weren't so different in some ways. Tom Riddle and Harry both felt isolated when being raised. Riddle sought power and greatness to compensate. Harry fought against it. He held onto an idea that Dumbledore himself pointed out: love ("Dumbledore : No, no. This kind of mark cannot be seen. It lives in your very skin. Harry : What is it? Dumbledore : Love, Harry. Love." is Dumbledore reinforcing it....“You're the one who is weak. You will never know love or friendship. And I feel sorry for you.” his patronus...he thought he saw his dad at first. that light that erupts from harry's wand to protect himself and Sirius: love, the motivation for his actions.) That's what his parents were, and why he held them so close. Dumbledore's motto may as well have been "love conquers all". Even his own death played a part. He even tried to help Voldemort. That's why he was at Hogwarts to begin with. His vision is always the bigger picture. Flawed? depends on how you look at it. Dumbledore is certainly a very complex character, but he was likely the only person who could understand and defeat Voldemort, because that's really what this was: Dumbledore vs Voldemort. harry was just Dumbledore's queen (master chess piece). Imagine the alternative: a world ruled by death eaters is a world that eats itself (like an ouroboros). His mere return began to erode the world around him. it wasn't empathy somehow to humanity. protecting humanity was the central goal.

As long as other people know that I will meet their emotional needs 110%, they can't simply cancel me when I communicate an unpleasant thought or theory xD And it's not about them at all, not that I don't care because I do, but this pattern at its core is all about me building ellaborate foundations for being able to safely be myself around the people I don't want to scare away.

Ironically it comes naturally to me to figure out others but understanding and empathizing with myself can sometimes be quite a challenge. Suddenly it makes so much sense...I am strongly driven by integrity and while I am a deeply empathetic person and other peoples feelings affect me too, I can still shut down all emotion as soon as I sense injustice that has to be rightened. Also I do have strong morals but morals in general appear relative to me..I don’t know if anyone else feels that way too & it’s so funny that my greatest fear truly is to never be understood and be lonely whilst being around those I love..

And also that more often than not I can be wrong in my assumptions and deductions. Especially when not wanting to interact with the outside world enough to build a concrete understanding. And that even if I am correct in my insights, it may unfortunately be of no benefit or not received well. And being corrected or taught is not an offense but a reconstruction or just a lesson in being tactful and more environmentally "aware". Thank you. Great content.

These videos have been fun and informative. Not only is it helping with character creation, I have also gained insight into the cognitive processes of people in my circle. I have an acquaintance that says she is an INFJ but she never struck me as being particularly empathetic. The way the empathy process works as described in this video leads me to believe that she may be intensely empathetic but since she doesn’t have experience mirroring a large group of people, she has only her own personal reactions to measure people against. So if they do not react in the same way she thinks she would if she lived in their circumstances, then she has no sympathy for them. Even if her assumption about how she would respond in someone else’s circumstances is statistically less likely.

This is so cool, thank you! It's critical for NFJs to have a well-rounded emotional education or it really handicaps them in life. They rely so much on logic and so little on rationale that they need that strong emotional mirroring muscle to help them understand the world in a healthy way. Thanks for watching!

I have learned to share my plans more, i am now learning how to show boundaries better and be honest about them sooner. A lot of times people do not understand my boundaries even if i directly communicate what those boundaries are, they simply dont see it nor understand it even if i explain. I do have quite some friends and i do have good connections with them, but i only know 2 people at most who truly understand me, cause they can speak my doctor who special language of multilayered speech in 1 word and one of them will most probs leave my life soon, which saddens me deeply, but i know she needs to move on. My dark side or my "demonic" side is comparable with Sans in undertale at the end of the genocide route and a bad time starts to happen. I have broken a lot of people that way multiple times after they crossed boundaries so far that even telling them my boundaries and them ignoring it brought the worst outside of me. After that though i am down for months and very depressed and sad at those moments. (men and women) People are still surprised about the fact that i know things about them even without them telling me those deep layered secrets. I also have shut doors with a lot of people in the past, i am learning better now how to deal with a lot of those situations, but its a path that keeps going. I do have my own morality, but it does most of the time go against the morality of the group, reason is the bigger picture (which is true). I make big plans for a lot of people and create jobs of them, even am giving rise to the polar opposite of this days top down economy, i am with a group of people busy making a bottom up style economy that is local scaled. Its the polar opposite of this days globalistic idea, which i do not agree with. When i feel my job is done with this though, i will simply write fuck tons of books about many things. I love helping people, but i have learned that taking care of myself is such a difficult and time consuming job that it takes up most of my time when i grow more into it.

This made me quiet and just listen. Speechless, I don't even need to say anything. This is a great video. Yes, I don't really care how close we are. My mouth would be sealed closed about my thought process or feelings. Unless you proved to me that you can keep up with how I am thinking or 'understand' where I am coming from. And what's the meaning behind my words, it's like a test but also not really. I am misunderstood so so so many times in my 20 years of life, so much so that I promised to keep my mouth shut and that there's no point of proving myself since I've already see it's no use for my future. I'm 24/7 hyper aware, never really relaxed once. Maybe, but it's only when I'm alone and have time to collect my thoughts. I honestly think I'm stuck between and healthy and an unhealthy INFJ, but slightly leaning towards unhealthy. But I have my reasons, I don't do things just because of something. Unless someone made me feel safe and secure enough to completely let go care free. Then I'll throw away those thoughts haha Thank you for the video

There's so much clean and helpfully woven into this video, that it would be sad to pick at the lint. And, I would guess that those braving such content are sure to face the worst in us as we claim "that character is not an INFJ!" So, with those apologetic beginnings, I am commenting to wonder why Daenerys (based on visual series as I've never read Martin) might be a good representation of INFJ. It's true she sometimes displays like one, but even more often I suspect she may be on the Fi/Te axis ...and that a ruler as INFJ might have a more dynamic, delegated, interactive and collaborative admin/council team? No assertions here - just questions - and thanks for the video.
@cynthiapayne9906
@cynthiapayne9906 3 жыл бұрын
A perfectly reasonable critique and I thank you for taking the time to comment! You are lovely. I did consider Fi/Te for Dany, and she does occasionally make an argument for it, but she makes an argument for Fe/Ti far, far more often. Her primary way of solving problems is to utilize the people around her, not by recognizing their objective strengths and appealing to those directly, but by leveraging their loyalties and emotions. It's as easy to her as breathing. The woman knows how to work a crowd and she does it often. Her sense of morals and ethics is entirely based on the empathy she feels for those who have been victimized by a particular crime--her sense of morality and ethics is not objective, it's subjective. Now, this can manifest as Fi in a very immature individual, but Dany is not immature despite being so young. The only two things she seems to draw a strong moral line in the sand against is rape and slavery--two things she experienced intimately and has continually reinforced to her through those around her. Her first handmaids are former brothel slaves. Everything else is fair game so long as it's not against "good people." For instance, Dany does not believe that it's wrong to nail people to posts and let them slowly die of exposure and dehydration, because she does exactly that as retribution against those who nailed people to posts and let them die slowly of exposure and dehydration. She does not believe it is wrong to feed people to her dragons for nonviolent crimes. She does not believe it is wrong to burn people alive for striking back against those who raped and enslaved them--she just believes it's wrong to do these things to "certain people" i.e, to people she cares about; to people she is capable of empathizing with. Some of this is a reflection of the brutality of the environment she's in, but it's still there. She lacks a sufficiently emotionally well-rounded education for her to be able to empathize from both sides--something INFJs need to be able to do to be able to make sense of the larger picture. I have no doubt she will get there in time, but she is very young and just hasn't had that time. As for her leadership style, I'd argue she does have a pretty good sized cabinet going. Remember--her rise to power is incredibly fast. She collects advisors as she goes and this number swells the more time that goes by, it's just not a whole lot of time has gone by (roughly five years for the first seven seasons). We do see her delegate entire cities to her trustees when she decides to go cross the sea and she delegates a lot of authority to her Hand. Add into that equation that INFJs can be quite paranoid about the intentions of others and are reluctant to trust them, and I'd argue she's doing pretty good for a woman in her early 20s (they aged her up for the show. In the books she starts out being 13, in the show 17). Anyway, that's the thought process I went through, but I'm always up to hear other perspectives if you have a different thought process. I'm learning as I go and that's the whole point of these videos for me :)

Obviously I'm super late on this video and hopefully nobody has made this point before (tried to read as many comments as possible to make sure) but Dumbledore did have a stronger reason to give Harry to the Dursleys than the whole fame thing. There was a blood charm that protected Harry so long as he was around his mother's kin frequently enough. There's a lot of stipulations to this and I think JK might've just tacked it on so people would stop asking why Dumbledore let Harry live with these horrible people, but still, it's a valid enough reason. Couldn't help but nitpick that one thing but I loved the video as a whole. Very helpful in developing my INFJ character. Also good to see some villainous INFJ characters instead of the usual endless barrage of cinnamon roll sweethearts (because all feelers are obviously good and all thinkers are obviously evil)
@cynthiapayne9906
@cynthiapayne9906 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And thanks for knit picking--it keeps me honest ;) That blood charm is so problematic and supposed to be so powerful while also being kind of useless. I think it's a case of something making way more sense to the author than it makes to anyone else. The charm works to protect Harry from Voldy while in proximity to his aunt's house so long as he is underage and calls his aunt's house "home". This could only be done because of the protection Lily gave Harry when she died to protect him, versus the zero protection James gave Harry when he died to protect Lilly and Harry (another problematic spell rule, but I digress), so it had to be a blood relative of Lily's. Even buying all of that, the Death Eaters knew the general location of the Dursley's home and only had to wait around for them to pop off the the mall to be out of the sphere of protection, and the abuse Harry suffered was bad enough that he popped off himself several times on-page just to get away, so how many times did he go off on his own off-page? It's a big hole. Pretty sure it wasn't the charm that protected Harry for 15 years--it was the fact that the Death Eaters believed Voldy to be dead and so went about their own lives instead of continuing his work. This is pretty much spelled out in Goblet of Fire when Voldy bitches out all his Death Eaters for abandoning him. Harry wasn't kept alive because of Dumbledore's charm, he was kept alive because no one was trying to kill him. I can see an argument for leaving the child in the Dursley's care until it's clear this is the case, maybe even a year with no Voldy activity, but why inflict the rest of the abuse on the kid? I'm pretty sure that this situation was brought about from narrative necessity--your protagonist in this sort of story HAS to be a normal kid your audience can identify with and who experiences this new, fantastical world right along with your readers. So, for the world of Harry Potter, Harry HAD to grow up in a Muggle home. And for the sake of later plot points, he HAD to have no real allegiance or loyalty to the Muggle world. So, that means Harry HAD to be from an abusive, loveless home he would easily leave behind. But, of course, this causes all kinds of problems. Now, obviously, in a pass-fail test this charm spell passes with flying colors--the fact we're talking about it more than 20 years after it was published proves that. A lot of holes pop up in the narrative making sure Harry grows up in a Muggle home, and all of them cast Dumbledore in a poor light, but it all does fit well with an INFJ character. It's not the only time it happens. I'm real suspicious about his treatment of Sirius and Dumbledore giving evidence of him being the secret-keeper on the spell Dumpledore cast to put him in prison for 12 years. (This was, apparently, cleared up in a single conversation 12 years later???) Sirius was Harry's legal guardian. And Dumbledore had Harry on the Dursley's doorstep hours after the attack and with full knowledge *somehow* of how Harry had survived. If I were not so convinced it was narrative necessity that put Harry in a Muggle home, I'd be convinced Dumbledore had some other motive for getting Harry to the Dursleys besides protecting him. Thanks for watching!

6:21 wow i have never heard ppl discussing that aspect of infj. it is true. i will be very intrested in discussing innerworkings of something widely acceptable as much as of something that is taboo... it feels like a part of the world is blocked by humanity and it seems sad to me, like a lost opportunity to understand. but at the same time i press myself to be okay with it, because maybe i'm wrong and taboos are actually a good evolutionary tool for stability in a population, like, to prevent horrific ideas from coming to others and spreading or something. but, seriously, i strongly believe that if i in my lifetime would come across and had to talk to people that hold amorality or convictions that are clearly shit close to their heart, i would be able to not be phased by it (depends on how threatened i am at the moment, but still). i had the experience of talking to some with shit convictions about said shit convictions. i can say i felt stable and okay (and i was certain i was safe), just frustrated a bit at them internaly, because they refuse to see objective reality (it was about homophobia, misoginy and transphobia - the baseline of it that they denied to be true) and just continue to rely on things they've learned. but. it's a lil' bit dangerous because these things can get into your head. like, as a teen for a time i had a phase of "please can you explain why the strong should help the weak if evolution doesn't like the weak? are we sabotaging ourselves?" i understood that there was something wrong with it, but couldn't get what exactly for a long. time. AND i had to figure it out MYSELF because who the fuck are you gonna talk about it with? no one in my social circle at the time, 100%. i am still so "accepting" that sometimes on topics i see discussed on the internet i can get behind the wrong thing. i am not educated in a lot of things and it's scary not to be. 18:09 on some level - yeah. i definitely want to be that way. if you are writing infj character, the communication style can be influenced by other things, like prior long-term relationship history, be it of a partner or parent and they tent to overwrite the base communication style. 20:10 YES. 100% example: if a peer gives me answers to a test and there is a certainty/high or medium risk that i will have to explain it to the teacher, i will never just learn the words to repeat them. i will have to understand them and tuck them neatly in my mind so that i can manuever them as if i did the task without help. 25:52 omg okay i see what you mean and i see how incredibly infj this kinda thing is and i am horrified but excited at the sheer potential of the characters like that in the stories! but like! holy shit. omfg. some very misguided version of me could do some version of this. and it's surreal to understand, it feels like barfing after stepping through the looking-glass

I feel a little disoriented because i had been mistyped for several years and until recently i realized i was actually an INFJ and thats why i was so miserable when i was trying to “better myself” as another type. This makes much more sense to me but now i need to develop myself the right way. Its gonna be a long journey Edit: if anyone cares, this is how i found out; So when i first took the test 4 years ago, i took the not-too-accurate 16personalities test and got INFP and i was like “hmm ok?” And I forgot about it. But about a year ago, i wanted to better myself because i was dealing with a lot of mental illness (still am) and i checked out the same test and got INFP again and accepted it. I spent a lot of time researching INFP and trying to better myself but something always felt off. One day i was on a character personality type site reading about my favorite character who i related more than any other character ive had the pleasure of experiencing and someone commented that he wasnt INFP but rather INFJ. And i answered that person justifying why i thought he was actually INFP. But after talking back and forth she told me more about how the cognitive functions worked. But the thing that snapped the final gear in place was that she said its impossible for a type to have such an undeveloped dominant function (Fi in this case) and thats when it hit me. My “Fi” was terribly ‘undeveloped’. I took the test again on different sites that actually checked for cognitive functions and got INFJ. Yikes lol Im thinking that a possible reason why INFJs are so rare is because they might be mistyped

INFJ and INFPs tend to get mistyped as the other quite often. It's a big problem and it leads to a lot of confusion on both a type level and an individual level. I'm sorry you've had to deal with that. If this video seemed to fit for you, then I'd recommend checking out CS Joseph's channel (link in description). This series is based off of his work and he has a huge library of INFJ material, including how to laser in on how you can grow as an INFJ. He also has his own test (csjoseph.life) based on his 4-sides system. Best of luck and thanks for watching!

I'd highly recommend checking out Cognitive Personality Theory. Many, many people mistype as INFJ based off invalid online tests and inaccurate type descriptions who are in fact ISFPs for the most part. CPT is a highly fluid multidimensional take on Jungs original work plus Harry who developed it is an INFJ which will give you an idea as to whether you have a similar cognition or not

In many ways we are or become the main characters of the stories. When we are evolved ones we are good & the un-evolved ones for not so good...just as "any" other personalities types too. Every personality types has the good ones & the bad ones, it all depends how much work they have put on themselves. So it's just a matter of which one when people encounter an Infj person, it's actually dealing with after all....and that people have to learn to discern themselves in which btw...it takes time & efforts 👌 😉😘

At least this for the use of story telling. It's always just a little off when non-INFJ explains what an INFJ is. There's alot of understanding here, but alot missing also. There's alot of validity and integrity in this information so I respect it for story telling perception purposes. But if a human tried to approach an INFJ with this outlook they'd probably be in for a battle they didn't know they signed up for ;)

Ok we don't just analyze ideas..we have to see if the ideas are real by seeing how people are reacting to the invisible construct upon which they act and react. In this way we have to pay attention to the real world.

i dont exactly believe in that "i dont care what people think about me" thing. On one hand, i ignore others opinions about how I dress or what my sexuality is, but on the other hand, i do care what people close to me think, because each thought makes them make decisions that could benefit or harm me, and also i value them for who they are, so ignore them opinions or dismis them is not an option. Is just balance i guess.
