I think our INFJ hug thing is more about selective intimacy /having an intuitive sense of whether someone's safe, etc. Atleast for me, that's the case. I love hugs... but it very much depends on the relationship.

As for the admiration /dressing style thing, I think for the INFJ, it's a balance between wanting but simultaneously Not wanting attention. Like with hugs, the attention related to dress or anything else is very selective, and we base our selectivity on personal values and other criterion.

I'm an INFJ and have no poker face. But I find that when people react to my expression & I ask about it, they have no idea what I'm thinking. I think it's because I'm reacting to something they aren't even aware of.

You said that, ENFJ is little bit more present in time, here and now than INFJ. And i really agree with this.this is true. It just amaze me that, even when im doing something complex work, or conversation i can also observe other people, objects around me at the very same time. INFJs are more likely to be selectively empathetic and intimate yes, we have overwhelming intimacy and we're the best lovers in the entire world/universe/existence. ENFJs show off their friendliness and warmth easier to random strangers, anyone gets their light, but INFJs are selective about who we share with. So, yeah, I agree that ENFJs act and show off more with their empathy and absorbing vibes/energy from othr people, but the INFJs have to block it out automatically for self-defense. Most INFJs, will get heavy doses of energy being absorbed when we're placed with people we know, familiar people, we can block out strangers easier than ENFJs. However, it is far worse for us when we know the people, because the more we actually care, that is what triggers our empathy. We don't automatically and blindly feel for any random person. Strangers, are a lot easier to ignore, because we're introverts, and we need that boundary line to defend ourselves with countless walls and barriers. For us, it is all about important boundaries, because we can't absorb energy off people like ENFJs, Introverts must regenerate on our own, in peaceful silence. Any Introvert would be overwhelmed, by all of the energy coming off of Extroverts, so only the ENFJ can handle all of that energy being absorbed, for INFJs, we must hide away, and block it off. Naturally, and unconsciously all Extroverts drain the energy of Introverts without intending to or even trying, you absorb energy off each other, but for Introverts, we can't do that at all. INFJs are the most Extroverted, and will often look like we can, but we usually can't, unless its an Ambi-vert perhaps... (This is why the other Introverts are strongly private with their alone time). We, however, tend to force ourselves to go out for the sake of the world, for the sake of other people, we're the sacrificial lamb Introvert, since the other Introverts usually won't do it.

I'm in the current throes of figuring out which I am, and DEEPLY engrossed in it. This is SO HELPFUL!! I do believe I am an INFJ, which I kinda wish I was ENFJ (also why I think I'm struggling with uncovering my true self). But glad to uncover this.

I agree with what you said about the emotional sponging difference between INFJ and ENFJ. I'm an INFJ and I personally know two ENFJs... the two ENFJs absorb emotions more readily (and react to it more readily) than I do. Unless I have a deep emotional connection with another person, I can detach myself from (but still be able to identify) another person's emotions.

Right!!!!! This is my observation too! I only know of one INFJ who has stated she absorbs emotions in the stereotypical manner that we often hear of, and she may just do so because she is an empath. But even then, she said that her other INFJ friends of hers do not relate.

Yeah, being an Empath is why I do it as an INFJ as well. Usually, Introverts can't absorb energy off people and get drained, so absorbing emotions would overpower an INFJ. ENFJ are meant to do it, because as Extroverts they can get energy off other people, Introverts would be drained and exhausted by the emotional, and only be able to recharge alone. It takes a long time for an Introvert to regenerate their energy, in peaceful silence, the sheer emotional trauma would be far to much for most Introverts. However, the flip side of this is, INFJ is extremely private and reserved on romantic intimacy, we pick up huge energy and emotional vibes from family/friends/partners. We're hands down the greatest Empathetic Lover, when we're in private with 1 person, or 4-6 family members, or 2-3 friends, we're the greatest at small crowd intimacy. There is nothing better than dating an INFJ/marrying us, we only open up and feel the Empathy when we feel safe, and comfortable, when we're in a Peaceful Sanctuary. We naturally keep unconscious barriers and endless walls, we have a fortress with a moat guarding our hearts and minds, we keep boundaries from everyone. Only our closest and most favorite people, our very few allies and trusted confidantes can make us truly feel and absorb their emotions and energies ~

Of course, that is how anyone should date, we all love confident and self-assured partners. Show off that self-esteem, and that you have plans for the future. Yeah, you show off that you are a deeply caring person, who cares about the world, and actually important subjects like all INFJs do. What would scare away the ENFJ, is the usual INFJ problems with neuroticism, paranoia, and being overly anxious, keep clear of negative vibes should work. Make sure to choose locations that are full of positive vibes as well, it isn't only your energy that influences an ENFj, it is also the location you choose to date her at. You must make sure that the people around the environment are not going to cloud up the atmosphere with negativity as well. Hope that all worked out for you! ~

Great video! I thought I may have been an extrovert simply because I enjoy socializing, but I noticed a certain pattern. I can never have one long flow of socializing, it’s like I break up my interactions into short bursts to conserve my energy. I never realized I did this until now.

@@DeezyRYG Yep, there’s definitely a lot of other factors to take into account. Right now I think I’m most likely Ni dom rather than Fe, as I can consciously tune out of Fe relatively easily. I can never tune out of Ni, that idea sounds bizarre.

@@cleb5117 Yeah anytime! I do try to get back to comments when I can. But great question. Having Fe on all the time, for me at least, is a constant awareness of the interpersonal dynamics around me. What actions, words, tone of voice, And energy can influence people and how it would. And then also constantly assessing what makes certain relationships be better, worse. What can improve them and what will destroy them.

The BEST video on the 2 types I’ve seen but SHAME on you that you made it so short Example like me I still can’t get my E/I figured out I feel it’s literally 50/50 split ... but (might not make since) To ME it is super important to know which one is more dominant When I found out about MBTI (im32) my life LITERALLY changed 150 degrees I know why I think(this way) , why I think(that way) , and for what (intuition)reason I do thing (set in motion ) in advance It’s easy (with experience).To read ppl and my gut (intuition) is right majority of the time It’s like you explained about the bridge I will choose both the only diff is in TIME If I got time to think I will plan it out (infj) If I don’t have time I will go with (enfj) way Even tho I will get their at the same time Why it’s important to me is ....the after effect and how each way will effect the chooses once I get over the bridge So that’s the 30 percent knowing your enfj capability’s or infj capabilities I apologize for making it so long even though I tried to condense it as much as possible (I know my examples aren’t the best sorry)
