There are quite large sharks that loves to steal the fishes hanging off kayaks. Our concern is if it accidentally bites and pulls the clip it could capsize the kayak. We use a large keep net and hang off the side instead. The net cost $10 can buy at changi tackle shops.
@BZFishing
@BZFishing 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your advice! We will definitely explore this option 🙂
@leslieho6378
@leslieho6378 3 жыл бұрын
If possible it is not advisable to hang fishes at the side of boat or kayak. You may attract shark attacks due to their unpredictable natural. Always have all knife within your reach, should you emergency needed to cut loose to prevent capsized your kayak. Stay safe and also watch out for boat traffic movement around. Shalom.

For mangrove jacks .. just use cut tamban on Apollo size 2/0 .. just drift along the blue buoys on outgoing or incoming tides .. tightlines!

Love watching your adventures! You guys are fishing the waters where my buddies and I used to fish back in the '90s. Here's a little tip, try your best to get the lead weight to hold bottom for a better bait presentation. The sea swell rocks your kayak, have your rod tip move up and down to the tune of the swell to maintain lead being static at the bottom. Groupers and snappers are very cautious feeders, typically circling the prey a few times before sucking the bait in. Any unnatural movement and sight will deter them from biting. And, oh yeah, for these fishes, they know that they are hooked before you realize the hook-up and will head for the nearest cover. So be attentive and always have the 'finger on the trigger' for the strike....good luck!

Thanks for the fishing adventures, hope that you can catch more fishes. It all depends on the tides of the day, some good structures location and some lady's luck. If it is strong current, usually you fish near or inshore but it slow moving current, is time to move out of the shore fishing. Good luck and God bless. Always stay safe. The sea is very unpredictable. Wearing a grass hat is more cooling. Shalom🤠

@@BZFishing If you don't mind, may I add a some tip; if you don't wish to look out for new spot to fish then make the fishes come to you lah. You can get some prawn paste mixed with some plain flour + little amount of tapiocar flour+water. If you like you may also add it with fine sea sand. You can used it for fishing or put it into a plastic bottle with holes at the side and lower it to the bottom of the seabed. This in return will attach fishes from miles away. Now the fish will find "you" instead of you looking for them. You can also used dry smelly squids or smelly small fishes or dry prawns. The rest is up to you. Good luck and always stay safe. If you using your mobile device please turn on your location setting. God bless, shalom.🙏🤔🧐
