I waste alot of time and worry as i get ready to paddle, swim, surf , walk the dogs or work on the car. Im envious. I definitely want one of those floating docks someday. Looks like a great addition to the water. Thanks for sharing

@@Dhejdjndkksvshsufndkke You Bet. I think of 'friction' for activities. The less friction (moving things out of the way, loading and unloading, unpacking, removing covers, getting things in/out of cars) the better. Capture those 30-45 minutes time blocks and use them. It's like owning a guitar - leave it out of the case on a stand ready to play and you'll play it way more. Same concept for garage design! Best, Tim

hi, I was wandering if the inflatable platform would be suitable to foil dock start? Have you ever tried?
@HALFLIFEVIDEO Жыл бұрын
No - not unless you had it very well secured. There are loops to try but it will give as you accelerate on your feet. Tim

Hey. Love the video! I’m looking for a place to moor my 24 chaparral. Do you know of a dock that’s available 😉😁 I’m usually launching in Bellevue

Hi Keary -- this dock is awesome -- you'd love it. I don't currently know of available moorage but if I hear of something I'll let you know. Thanks for checking out the video. You need one of these for your Chaparral! email us at halflifet.5@gmail.com is you'd like to buy one. Cheers, Tim

Thanks for the video. I've been looking at these for about a month made by different manufacturers. And yours is the first video I've seen with it being put into actual use. However, I do have to say two things: 1. Like others have pointed out on here, they are way overpriced. 2. I find it funny that you talk about standing on the very edge or corner yet one can clearly see that you are not on the "very" edge lol.
@HALFLIFEVIDEO3 жыл бұрын
Hey Roger -- sorry the price point doesn't work for you. These docks are awesome -- I haven't watched the video lately but I thought I was pretty darn close to the edge. The fact that you can fit 10 teens on this and have a great time is enough to sell me. Hope you find something that works for you. If you decide to buy - we'd be happy to hook you up. Best, Tim

Thanks for the great videos! Is that a WF-1 board in the background? I’d love to see what you think of it. I’m about to pull the trigger on the slingshot hover glide wakesurf or foil wake package. Your videos have been very helpful to me and also spreading the stoke for sure! How do you think their performance as normal wake surf boards compares? I wish they offered a standard package with the 84, I’m 225lbs.
@HALFLIFEVIDEO4 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew - Thank you for watching our videos! We're fired up that you're getting into wake foiling. At 225lbs you'll want to be on the Hover Glide 84cm or 99cm. What type of boat are you behind? You'll want the FSUPv3 or FSUP package that comes with the 84cm and 48cm rear wing. In terms of boards, practically speaking it's very rare to take the foil package off and use it as a wakesurf board....so I'd optimize around the foil experience. Given that you're learning, any used board would be fine. As you progress in the sport you want smaller boards so you may find someone who's ready to give up their older board. That said - any of the Slingshot boards are fine for wakefoil. It sounds like you found our How to Wake Foil playlist -- kzbin.info/aero/PLX8JNpzm5TVstDxHuWvSRyza-2_HtVmZG Please let us know the type of boat so I can confirm the recommendation. Congratulations! We're super fired up for you to experience foiling. Know that it will take a bit to learn but the reward makes it all worth while. The stoke is real brutha!

HALF-LIFE I’ve got a 23’ Chaparral H2O Sport. No ballast systems yet, but working on it. Really looking forward to foiling. It will be perfect for cutting through the chop on the river and still having a buttery smooth ride. Thanks for pointing me in the direction of the FSUPV3 package. I just ordered it with the WF-1 board. Unfortunately there are no used boards in my area and even looking online it’s not much cheaper to just get a new one. I will be rewatching all of your videos while I wait for it to get here! Thanks again for the great content you’re producing.
@HALFLIFEVIDEO4 жыл бұрын
Nice boat! But definitely not built to create a wake so you'll be happy to have the larger wing. Ballast will definitely help as will 'bean bags'. You'll see how we use them in the Mastercraft here -- kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXecd6J9arKUg68 Keep in touch and let us know how it goes. You can DM us on Instagram @halflifet.5, drop us a comment, or shoot us an email. Get ready for a few falls along the way but absolutely worth it as foiling unlocks so much fun.

How UV resistant is the material it's made from? I've had other inflatable "dock" or platforms that worked GREAT for about a season, then the outer shells would deteriorate and lose effectiveness.
@HALFLIFEVIDEO4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim - the inflatable dock is actually made with the highest strength of drop-stitch fibers, with a double-layer, double-wall construction, this inflatable dock is the most rigid and durable available today. It comes with a 2 year warranty so you should feel good. We have an order coming in 11/1 so if you'd like one just email us at halflifet.5@gmail.com

The weight of it doesn’t matter, extra weight in the boat is more of a solution than a problem if ur a wakesports kinda guy
@HALFLIFEVIDEO3 жыл бұрын
Weight is really a consideration for folks who carry the dock to/from the water OR if they want to take it with them to a mountain lake or on a family trip. Make sense?

about 5 minutes pumping up?
@HALFLIFEVIDEO4 жыл бұрын
Haha - NO.....unless you're using an electric pump. It takes about 10-15 minutes depending upon your pumping cadence. Once it's pumped up - it's good to go for the season. It's 8'x7' and made out of high quality product so it is rigid so it takes a bit more time. If you're interesting please don't hesitate to shoot us a note at halflifet.5@gmail.com.
