My daughter told me she was craving quiche this week. The next day I went dumpster diving at my local Aldi and what do you know there was a 2pk of frozen pie crust, a bag of shredded cheese and a pack of bacon (not to mention a full bottle of laundry detergent). Luckily I already had eggs, milk and onion at home. I made 2 quiches this morning with toast and some hot chocolate. It's funny how the dumpster gods sometimes provide just what you need.

I am from Bradenton Florida right next to Sarasota and Key West when hurricane Milton hit that was the first dumpster dive my family did I didn't go but I had Joy just knowing that food was coming to our home my son-in-law is a trucker and called her and said there's food over here frozen food😊

BTW, those small orange mandarin type fruits are probably satsumas. They could be Japanese. It’s considered a holiday fruit around Christmas time, very juicy.

Ok, so what’s weird is I had a full fledged dream this morning that you Amy, and the kids and I were strolling through the neighborhood looking for colorful leaves and branches to make an Autumn wreath. The girls put everything on the outside table and we were all choosing fun colored leaves designing the wreath. Then suddenly FD came home extremely thrilled, and proud that he found a vintage German pretzel and hot working hotdog cart, fulling in order left on the curb somewhere! Still working, with hot hotdogs ready to go and eat!! 😂😂🙀 We just watched how he set it up outside the iron fence doors. Very funny to me when I woke up to that dream too, especially when I miss the old world, authentic pretzels they sold in NYC. The pretzels today are the weak version. I wish I had that authentic recipe. Ok, so where’s the dream analysts out there? What does this mean? 😂😂👏👏

Butterballs are great but expensive. Turkey was special in our family--only served on Thanksgiving. Yes, we did have chestnut stuffing and roasted chestnuts were a treat. Watch cracking eggs. You know Green Eggs and Ham. It is a good thing to break your eggs one at a time and in a separate bowl.😅

Frugal Mommy,slice that celery,dehydrate it and store it in canning jars. Seal them if you have a jar sealer or add an oxygen absorber. Toss them in soups ,stews,etc..

I chop celery, onion, and carrot and freeze it together. So many recipes call for that combo. I also freeze chopped multi-colored peppers and jalepenos.
