RBI's role needs to be called into question. Usually, when inflation goes up, interest rates also go up. But godi media has made out a case on how RBI should stop focussing on inflation. RBI no longer talks about monetary policy transmission, price stability, real interest rates, lack of investments, role of commercial banks in managing money flows etc. RBI is now more like a economic weather forecast department, which only passively predicts kya ho sakta hai & kya honewala hai without going too much into what can be done to reverse the winds.
