@Jonny Sandtrap Nah... I only believe in what I can control, myself. Too many people can't liberate themselves from masks, their self imposed prison chains. I would just like to see these people in power have to answer for their deceptions, but that's likely a pipe dream. Who knows..? People might snap out of it, but ...eh. I guess we'd have to see, but a sworn hearing will never happen.

My mother received a Flu shot from Hospice and died 10 days later, of the flu, she was too weak to cough, and never should have received that flu shot. She had had lung cancer 16 years before, she lived so long because she refused chemotherapy, she had 2 friends with the same diagnosis, they accepted chemo and died within the year, these were intelligent educated women, what is going on here? Why would someone take a treatment that is proved not to extend your length of life?

I think I understand your point but let me restate. You are suggesting that some part of present day Humans have reduced immunity from a couple different pathways. Remember, no two yearly flu strains are the same. They may well have the same trival numbers for N & H. That doesn’t really matter. The are an almost infinite number of variants of any strain, say H1N1. The number is truly impossible to quantify. Hence, we all suffer decreased immunity every single year. I know that the media coverage of SARS-Cov-2 gets this wrong daily. Ignore it. Study the reasons why we use at least 3 and now typically 4 new antigens in each year’s flu “vaccine.” It’s just not what CNN and Fauci are telling you about our current pandemic virus. Note that you are now being asked to do a total of 4 vaccinations for that virus within 18 months.

Do the tests identify CORVID-19 strain specifically, given that most people have coronaviruses of all variations. The only way you can determine the numbers of coronavirus 19 carriers is by distinguishing them from the others. If the tests don't to that, then how do they arrive at the conclusion that people have caught this specific virus?
@jackkomisar458
@jackkomisar458 4 жыл бұрын
The sequence of the RNA genome of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the virus that causes the disease called "COVID-19", was published in January. This sequence is different from the sequences of the other known coronaviruses. The standard diagnostic test for SARS-CoV-2 is called "reverse transcriptase real-time polymerase chain reaction" (RT-PCR). In this technique, RNA is isolated and then converted to complementary DNA using an enzyme called "reverse transcriptase". Then, the DNA copy is duplicated over and over by an enzyme called "DNA polymerase". First there are two copies, then 4, 8, 16, 32, etc. Incorporated into each copy is one or more fluorescent probes. After about 35-40 cycles of amplification, the DNA can be detected by an instrument that is sensitive to fluorescent light. If there is no virus, there is no signal, assuming that everything is done right. DNA polymerase can only start working at stretches of double-stranded DNA. In PCR, the double-stranded DNA is made by adding specially-designedsingle-stranded DNA probes to bind to sections of the target single-stranded DNA. In this case, the probes are designed to bind only to coronavirus complementary DNA sequences, which means that only coronavirus DNA can be amplified.

@Paul Fensome I can back up what I say. Here is a link to a paper describing the genomic sequence of SARS-CoV-2. www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/22221751.2020.1719902 It is very easy to find out about this virus because the major academic publishers, such as Wiley, Springer Nature, Cell Press, Lancet, and Elsevier have removed their paywalls for articles about COVID-19. As far as isolating the virus is concerned, that is not the way you do reverse transcriptase PCR. I used to do reverse transcriptase real-time PCR to detect RNA from the 28s ribosomal subunit of the malarial parasite. The first step was to isolate RNA, and, since SARS-CoV-2 is an RNA virus, that is how you would begin to test for it, too. Of course, isolating RNA gives you a mixture of viral and host RNA, and the reverse transcriptase step gives you DNA copies of viral and host RNA. Once you have this mixture, you add primers or primers that allow only the copy of the SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA to be amplified. It is true that people have a mixture of different coronaviruses. That is where primer and probe design come in. You choose primers and probes that will only bind to those sequences of SARS-CoV-2 that differ from those of other coronaviruses, and other viruses. Online sequence databases and specialized software make this possible.

@jackkomisar458
@jackkomisar458 4 жыл бұрын
.@@janinasimons8533 PCR is itself the gold standard because it is the most sensitive test we have. It can be compared with electron microscopy, which shows us a virus with a distinctive shape, and the RNA of SARS-CoV-2 can be compared with the RNA of other known coronaviruses. It can also be compared with another molecular test, based on CRISPR technology, that recently received emergency use authorization as a diagnostic test. Three-dimensional modeling can be used to understand the nature of the proteins that are coded for by the viral RNA. One such protein, the spike protein, binds to angiotensin -converting enzyme-2 (ACE:-2) on host lung cells, facilitating entrance into the lungs. The spike protein is a target of many of the 200--plus vaccine candidates being tested around the world. Antibodies to the spike protein can inhibit the growth of the virus in cultured cells. The virus grows, among other places, in nasal cells, where it causes the well-known symptom of loss of smell. A transgenic mouse bearing human ACE-2 receptors is susceptible to infection by SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes the disease COVID-19, and the mice show some of the same symptoms as do people who have the disease. The virus can be isolated from humans with the disease and grown in cell culture and used to produce the disease in these mice. Koch's postulates are not rigorously satisfied in this disease, for several reasons, but they are approximately satisfied. Nature does not follow our rules, no matter how prestigious they have become. For example, Koch's first postulate says that every individual that has the infection must have the disease. We know that there is asymptomatic infection in the case of COVID-19, so Koch's first postulate is violated. We cannot blindly follow a set of rules that were invented when very little was known about microbiology. We must build a web of data and testable hypotheses and theories that make sense together and predict the outcomes of future experiments.

Seems like 1918 pandemic is widely being used as the most important argument in all influenza related talks (and I've seen quite a few of them) to scare the audience of the future repetitions of such event. This pandemic is taken out of the context and should not be used today as an example of potential danger that we might be facing from the influenza viruses. In my opinion the 1918 pandemic isn't relevant today (other than unfortunate historic event) as in 1918 there were no broad-spectrum antibiotics available. In fact, there weren't any antibiotic available at that time (Alexander Fleming has discovered penicillin in 1928). This is significant for 1918 pandemic because people die from the secondary bacterial infections and not from the influenza as commonly reported by the historians. If the 1918 pandemic would play out today, the death toll would not be different that in any other (more recent) influenza pandemic, and that is just because of two things: 1) the availability of the broad-spectrum antibiotics. Most of the 1918 victims would be saved by a proper health care and medication. 2) and the contemporary living conditions. As described in one of the historical documentaries "Philadelphia in 1918 was teeming with people.Hundreds of thousands had swarmed the city because of the new job opportunities working at steel plants, docks, railroad yards and industries that supplied the war. Without enough housing for the influx, poor people were crowded into squalid, filthy slums that lacked indoor plumbing. Multiple families would cram into one apartment and share an outhouse in an alleyway with hundreds of people. Sometimes people shared not only apartments but beds, even sleeping in shifts. The boarding houses would rent out beds for six or eight hours at a time. When one worker woke up to go to work, another worker would get into the newly vacated bed and sleep, same sheets and all. The streets were notoriously filthy, with rat infestations and gutters filled with trash, animal and even human feces. With people living in overcrowded conditions, exhausted from hard labor and weak from poor nutrition, dirty water and bad air quality, it was a perfect breeding ground for an epidemic." (source kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3W8ZnaFnJeDaMU) Nobody lives like that today?

I would wish for a megaphone to connect to every human mind, to remind people that the line between good and evil runs through every human heart, to tell the truth, to act in a way that moves the world towards good, not evil, to ask them to assess everything about their lives, and if it is truthful, if it is good. That is the way to stop authoritarianism, don't act individually in a way that manifests that way societally.

About today’s mask, they like to say it’s trying to stop a mosquito with a chain link fence. The gauze masks from the 1910’s would probably be like a hula hoop for a mosquito.

Does long time exposure to the influenza virus and its variants create an undesired immune effect such as immune imprinting given that there are other viruses/pathogens that can mimick influenza and create similar deleterious outcomes such as SARS-COV2/COVID-19?

That depends on your definition of the word "kind". You could say it's always the same kind of vaccine, but they attempt to fine tune it to the best possible match to the particular variants that dominate for the coming season.
