I think you need to go look at what this job does. An infosec analyst is not a cyber security analyst. You are conflating two different jobs.

The definition of an information security analyst changes depending on the industry and company. I see it as more of an umbrella term. For example in software development, front-end, back-end, mobile, gaming, operating system all fall under the umbrella term software developer. For financial analysts and accountants, same thing. That being said, you see job postings from companies with titles all over the place.

Nope not worth it. The security industry sucks. They all want experience but don't want to train yet it's not an entry level career. So how do you expect people to learn the field? Too much gate keeping in the industry.
