Let’s get this straight, I just watched! 6:38 mins of this video, and I hit subscribe. This are tips from real fisherman’s helping others Fishermens. Amazing. It’s informative. Now for some reason, I’m looking for the big bass, I just made up my mind. Tunnel vision bass sniper, nothing less 😆. Thank you. Lastly, to think that I have more than 20 mins to go on this video. The boat can wait. It has never talk back to me, till this day that is. The boat!!! Not my lovely wife or kids. The 🚤. God bless you all, stay covid safe 🙏.

Thx for this video. Enjoy the way you explained the two diff types of punching and show the setups. I hate watching videos where the person is all cocky and talks down to the viewer. You didnt make me feel that way. Its hard to learn from someone you cant stand.

This punching technique might work with my midwest slop moss lakes where the moss floats on top is so thick u can't even use a jig, only frogs. Will work good in those extreme thick pad lakes too probably. Thanks for telling me about the snell knot. Where do you buy the skirts and weight?

since we're burying the hook into the plastic instead of texsposing for punching, what are some tricks to reuse the plastic bait? doesn't one hookset create a complete tunnel through the plastic, making burying the hook harder next time? thanks in advance. great video!

Redonesystems.com has them, you want to use a minimal of 65lb braid to rip them out of the heavy stuff.

That's a very common rig on the Delta Corey. Ish is a good friend but did not invent punching. I use a 3/0 myself and no skirt and no trash bomb.

Hey IF, is it possible to punch with heavy mono or flouro? Thanks
@einsamall_varg8 жыл бұрын
You can, but mono and floro stretch and won't cut through weeds like braid will. So, with mono and fluro you will break off and lose more fish. I would use a 7' 6" heavy to extra heavy bait cast rod paired up with a 6.4-1 to 7.1-1 reel and for the line I use 65-80 LB power pro braid. I hope this helped. Tight lines!!!!
@einsamall_varg8 жыл бұрын
I have tried using a short rod, but I find that I am not as accurate with my casts. With a long rod I know that I can place a lure right where it needs to go.
@einsamall_varg8 жыл бұрын
A shorter rod is far better for fishing under low hanging trees. I started fishing with a 6'3" rod with a 6.4:1 reel. I still fish with it. It is better for skipping and fishing close to shore. But, when I need to make accurate casts I will pick up my 7'6". Sub for a sub?

Obviously hung up lures makes for bad video. How often are you getting snagged? With that 50-80lb line its not snapping. Are you able to generally pull loose or are you have to go in deep to retrieve your snags?
@InformativeFisherman9 жыл бұрын
Josh Swathwood once or twice a day and sometimes not at all. Pull straight back hard and it pops loose most of the time pretty easily. Don't pull up with your rod or it will fire out and cause damage.
