Start with THM, do the learning paths, some machines, get some entry cert like eJPT or PJPT, then transition to HTB, PNPT, OSCP, CPTS

HTB can be a little confusing as there is the Academy and the App HTB (or Labs). They are not interconnected so you have to create separate accounts on each of them.

I know the feeling Pat, lobster for real. I will say though when it comes to THM vs HTB, THM spends more time explaining what you need to know and why. I also like how they have their own web based connections to some of their Windows and Linux boxes without having to RDP or ssh into devices. Also I'd say it'd be a better comparison to do HTB Academy vs THM as both of those platforms are actually teach material before saying THM is more hand holding. HTB is more closely related to the actually challenges in THM that don't have guides associated with them.

Yeah for sure l, I definitely got badly burned. Yeah I totally understand and I agree what you’re saying about both platforms.

THM is laid out nicely & it’s more user friendly. I like how the platform looks too

Thanks Pat. I had paid for THM, but hadn't used it since purchasing the sub (with a coupon); happy to see you can go through some metasploitable and go through the different modules to build on.

Hack the box in my PC and it was so slow and tacky like it was made in ancient era. Anyone know how to correct this?

I finished security engineer path at tryhackme and applied for some internships but got no feedback, is htb good factor to include in my resume? Im so confused with corporate hr stuff, been studying Cybersecurity for a year and next year is my senior college year. What do you recommend me work on Beside htb? Im now learning backend dev so i can go into web hacking to make some bucks and reputation/ resume work experience. What do you think?
