So the elephant in the room begs the question, what was the cost for construction and installation?

Having designed and help build a few large layouts I appreciate your modular approach. I've had good success using the 2" insulation foam for different elevations. I'm at the scenery phase and plan to copy your method of building the mountains off layout and putting them in place when done. Will have to check out the layout automation software & Hinkel since I use DCS too. Thanks for a great layout video.

That is a gorgeous layout! I was wondering if the TIU you showed was wired passively into the layout?

Hi Steve, I`m all excited about Snap-On Train`s new Randalph Sleeper Gearbox. Not only is it suitable for O gauge but works with O.D. Trans. This will provide an opening to upgrade to my vintage tin sleepers. Check it out.

The Big Boy and Santa Fe F3s look to be original Protosounds items. Were they upgraded or still using that system?

Very nice! But, what I first noticed, if it's a western UP theme, with all that money spent, why aren't the Amtrak cars Superliners?
@StephanLambAssociates7 ай бұрын
Because those are the trains the client wanted. Probably just hasn’t broken the super liners out yet. 👍🏻

How far do you travel to deliver layouts to customers?

Very nice work on this layout and great presentation. You should be very proud of this project. Who makes the crossing/cantilever signals at 5:16?
@StephanLambAssociates7 ай бұрын
That’s an old set made by Custom Signals and Ross I believe. The client had it sitting in storage and asked if we could incorporate it. Worked pretty well!

I thought so. If you come across a set of those in the future please let me know. Anyways, really nice work and I look forward to your next installment.@@StephanLambAssociates

Your company did a amazing job on this layout. I’m curious how you handle the seam where two sections where scenery was applied before delivery so that the sections can be separated. Incredible job on the turntable and roundhouse and a wonderful idea to put the controls in side the building and to have it covered by the roof when not in use. The Big Boys in the prototype also overhung the turntable bridge. What method do you guys use for getting the lighter mortar lines like on the roundhouse?
@StephanLambAssociates7 ай бұрын
The foam scenery sections are designed to come apart at our shop and have seams. But once we install the layout, we fill the seams in if they are noticeable. Sometimes in certain areas we can disguise seams without needing to patch them at the clients house.
