Awesome video, you make the process seem very simple! I plan on doing this with my ‘15 1500 express, only thing is it’s an aftermarket pioneer NEX 4200. I know it’s got inputs for dual camera so I’m assuming I’ll just need the find the camera input and plug into that since I won’t have the stock blue connector?

Correct most have RCA connections. However you will need a switch for Cargo. Camera source should be able to help for aftermarket radios. www.camerasource.com/

Will this work with ‘22 ram 1500 with the 12” screen?

Unfortunately, we don't have an OEM cargo camera option for a 2012 Ram 2500.

I just want to know what the blue wire is for.

The camera loom is also used for our Custom Genuine Mopar Back-up camera kit as well. For the back-up camera, the blue wire is used to tap to the BCM for dynamic guidelines, so the back-up lines move when the steering wheel is turned in reverse. For the 3rd Brake light cargo camera kit, the blue wire won't be used, and can just be tucked away.

@@Infotainment_nav Holy crap you actually answered that! I have read that the camera quality on your CMHSL isn't that good. Is this a general issue or do some ofg them come with sub par optics?

It's the MOPAR camera kit, so for 2013-2018 RAM trucks it is equal to the back-up camera. However, we have seen that when adding a Cargo Camera kit to a New Body RAM that uses digital rear camera, the cargo camera is analog input. So naturally when shifting from a digital camera to the analog CHMSL camera you will see a less defined image when you're so used to the crisp digital back-up camera image. Hopefully someday there will be a digital solution for the Cargo camera through MOPAR.

I just bought that kit from your guys and put in 2018 ram 2500. It work perfect, but the CHSML have a second camera few inches to the left side. How your guys make that camera work as well ??
