Powersoft M-Force 30" driver, operational from 10-30Hz when in infra crossover mode, here paired with NEXO S118 subs and some M6 line array boxes for testing. Anybody want to do a movie night? This would make a killer center channel...
More measurements coming soon! Follow us for all the updates.

There are subs that can go down to 2Hz if you can drive them. Requires a kind of large fan. Pretty nifty. I tried making a small version but it did not really work well. You could kinda feel it but it was meh.

@@jamegumb7298 most subs can go down to 2 hz if you can cool them and power them, but rotary subs have the advantage of not needing a big ass box to build up a big wavelength like that.

These infrasubs can do a lot of damage if maxed out. They are pulling like 100-110dB at 23Hz . Some rappers using servo-powered infrasubs to avoid large amplifiers and huge ammount of current flowing to the subs. Servo-powered infrasubs consumes less than 100W and they are pulling also well above 100dB at 23Hz that is the reason why management of the party putting a barrier 4-5 meters from the stage. I've seen and heard one of this infrasub with two 21inch drivers, they are incredible.. Outstanding performance for only 1500W , my whole body was shaking and i was standing 15m from it. Super cool!!

@@samohraje2433 I was sure that u will say that (40hz) there are cars witch can do 167db at 20hz and current record at 36 hz is about 180db (of course u cant sit inside becouse it will end you) if these infra subs can do 149 at 23hz at open environment it is really good For me infra sub is a speaker witch can go as low as 10hz with the same db as at 20hz for ex. I have single 12 inch dayton ultimax in my room in 100L box tunned to 20Hz it makes 115db at 16hz so 110 at 23 seems funny to me especially for that huge box but 149 seems great ;)

@Hayawasa
@Hayawasa 2 жыл бұрын
Not much more than a low tuned t-line enclosure. an enclosure for it takes up close to the same amount of space looks like. I think its design is to be as loud at 10 hz as it is at 20 hz , on less power than traditional designs. Still pretty interesting though, i hope we see something like this designed for car audio some time soon.
@JoshM7
@JoshM7 2 жыл бұрын
I'd be curious too. Though if I wanted frequency response in the low 10Hz+ range I'd do Infinite Baffle. (I might try that soon with my spare Ultimax 18, though I'm tempted to get a pair of Fi IB318 v2 or a Si IB-24)
@Hayawasa
@Hayawasa 2 жыл бұрын
@@JoshM7 ib setups are awesome if done correctly. Its mainly correct sub choice, and sound dampening. I like the w frame baffle with multiple subs myself , smaller drivers tend to seam so well with the midrange, but even an 18 can do good if tuned properly.
@JoshM7
@JoshM7 2 жыл бұрын
@@Hayawasa If W frame baffle is what I'm thinking it is, then that's one possible option I was consider in the future. Though my needs aren't extreme I think my Ultimax 18 will suffice. I just tend to enjoy turning it up for the fun of it sometimes. So we'll see how much I like it before I try any other subwoofers. I'm already familiar with the SQ of the UM18 and it's more than good enough for me. Currently my UM10 covers 16Hz+ in my car but needs a bigger box that takes up a lot of space. The UM18 IB should play lower, but will be limited to 55Hz upper bass extension due to my trunk. So I'll be doing some testing with my crossover to see if I can blend it with my rear speakers and see how it sounds. (I normally prefer more output down low vs high, so It should work)
@Hayawasa
@Hayawasa 2 жыл бұрын
@@JoshM7 your absolutely right , it will work .my first ib setup i had was an 18 , and i bought the cdt 6.7 inch sub/ mid for my rear fill. They filled the gap in the frequency range perfectly. I crossed them at 1k low pass at 12db and they mixed with the front perfect. Ive seen and heard systems with coaxials in the rear doing the same , it just renders the tweeters useless, but its cheaper to do if u already have them vs paying 200 + for a low fs mid pair . Its all in the filtering lol. Of course the cdt or whatever u choose sub/ mid will have more output, and mix flawlessly, but just what u have can do alot. Heck you might already have something like that ,idk.
