The individual LED's are even cheaper. I purchased a bag of 100 for about 5.00 and just started whacking them in and my illuminator worked again. I tested my LED's with the diode function on my DMM and found one bad one. Replaced it and I had one that was weakly lit so I replaced it as well. Odd to have so many go out at once.

These 36 LED infared circuit boards complete assemblies , cost about AU $3.00 each on Ebay. Shipping free anywhere in the world from China. Better than fixing them.

Sure you might have one or 2 IR-LED defect .. They will be connected in series .. which means that all will not light up.

I have this problem on my camera. I think the series resistor values are too low and the LEDs are being overdriven. I'm going to try fitting higher value resistors and new LEDs.

Dry/fractured joints all over and the wires have been trimmed after soldering, which is a no-no for long-term reliability. (I know, this is religious argument territory but statstically it works that way) Don't forget to drop a mini silica gel bag into the body when you reassemble. This will prevent corrosion and fogging long-term (it's best to assemble in a bake-oven to keep internal humidity low too. You want the internals of these things _dry_) These old cameras aren't worth fixing when you can get a 1080P one for $15-30

its nice video but i need some technical assistance. i am LAB engineer and repair NVR DVR and ip cameras but i stuck some times. we are facing most of 90% HDMI VGA and flash problems in DVR and NVR..i need circuit diagram or some solution. mostly HDMI and VGA ports do not display ...if some one know the solution please REPLY me..i am working in scout security service under the banner of HIKVISION products.some common problems in IP cameras are vary.
