The little baby trouts, my buddy and I call them rocket fish. You set the hook and you pull the fish out of the water flying like a rocket lol

Try putting side pressure to your left (upstream) and putting the rod down low parallel to the water, it will keep the big fish from running down stream. You obviously are landing fish and know what you're doing, just something that works for me

@TravelsAndMore forgot to ask you. Have you had success with other flies like zebra midges, Rojo midges, juju bee midges or others?

@@buddygregory8466 ​​⁠of course they will catch fish, but I always seem to catch more on my TAM. A couple trips ago I went out and used the Brian Hilbert day saver baetis and the TAMs, and the TAMs out fished the baetis by a big margin. I don’t know why but it just works. It took me about 3 years to get it just right after numerous tweaks, but it does well for me.

@ yes, there is a road that goes down to the river but only has 3 parking spots, but there are about 20 up by the restaurant.

@ yeah I found that 3 spot place, but it was full. Go into the Pueblo Tennis Center and say hello to my son. Join up and take a tennis or pickleball lesson. He’s the tall one.

@@tonywolf3649 yeah you can park up top and walk down, gotta be early to get a spot down by the river. I’m too darn old for tennis lol.
