As a 17 year old Texan, who endured 4 moves, and eventually arrived here, I had to like this video because this hits hard.

Aw man, hearin’ this made me wish I was back in my beeaautful state! I am a true Texan, born and raised baby!! Until a few years back my wife was having a hard time, she was missin’ her family in Florida real bad. So I decided to take her and the kids and drive down and visit them. When I saw how happy being’ back made her we decided we to move. That was before the whole Covid-19 crap started, so I couldn’t see my family so we would video call them every week so the kids could meet their Meemaw and Peepaw. And man, seein’ my momma’s Texan flag in the background made me regret my decision. So I got the family on board with singing the Texan anthem every mornin’, and now since the Covid-19 is over my wife is movin’ us back up!! Were on the drive right now and I am buzzin’ with excitement!! Wish y’all the best out there! William.

As someone who has read a lot about and travelled in America and Texas, but never lived there, I've always found that "The Yellow Rose of Texas" personifies Texas better. Same thing with "Rule Brittania" and "Dixie". As outsiders we picture the British Fleet, cowboys/rangers and rebels when we hear Britain, Texas or "The South", respectively. To a natives, these places are obviously more than historical stereotypes, I suppose.

Just checking to see if the song I learned in the 1st grade - 1952 - was still the state anthem. It is. Now I can continue to annoy people with it when they bring up my home state.

Honestly my anthem sounded more calm and kinda sounded like a Canadian tone. Still, amazing anthem. I also love the fact the description says “yeehaw”. very unique.

I was born in Louisiana, but partly raised in Texas and spent over half my life in the state. I have Texan roots, and I'm Texan by choice. And I'm damn proud to be Texan and a citizen in the greatest state in the Union, and one of the greatest republics on God's green Earth. The Great REPUBLIC OF TEXAS!

Texas needs to compete in the next Olympics as it’s own team instead of just the USA just to anger some federalists. Like Hong Kong did away from PR China and Taiwan.
