Ingleton looks like a wonderful place, the railway viaduct and narrow streets were incredible. I've added it to my list so if I'm ever in the area again I'll stop by. Thanks for showing us around. Loved your cheery introductions, it was good to meet some of the runners and hear where they'd come from. I think your bubbly personality gets the best out of them for the video. You can certainly see that the front runners are really focussed on the challenge ahead, they're all business as they passed you on the way back down. Views from the top are spectacular as usual, I think you deserved that ice cream at the end. Well done for documenting all of it!

Thank you, Matt. There's also Ingleton Waterfall Trail there with millions of beautiful waterfalls along the river, and some caves. But I think you now have to pay to do the trail, I think the money goes towards some preservation trust. A local person also told me that there's another picturesque village 4 miles from Ingleton called Chapel-le-Dale. I would've checked it out on the same day but we all came in one car (not mine) to save on petrol and not pollute the environment, and the rest of the people were eager to go to the pub. I will go there next time. The fast people are friendly too, they are all very humble. They were just focused on their descent.

Your channel is doing great Olga! There is so much in every video 😀 Well done on your race. I’ve no idea how those lead runners can run down the hill so fast. I’m always worried I’ll fall over so hold back. Beautiful views and I’m very jealous of that ice cream at the end 🍦

Downhill is the best, you just need to relax into it. That's the main reason I love fell running so I can run downhill. I found the shoes which I feel confident in, I think good enough grip that lets you relax and not worry is very important. I think the more tense you are worrying about hurting yourself the harder it becomes. Thank you for your kind words, Rachel.

Thank you, Jonathan. I mostly make these type of videos for people who take part in races as a memory to look back at or if people want to know what the race is like. It's my little geeky thing I do, that's why they are a bit longer. What's the weather like in Canada now?
@classicalruns12452 жыл бұрын
@@OlgasBritishFells I think you do really well with them. I always enjoy how encouraging you are to the other runners. The weather today was a hot one here in the U.S., we reached 33 degrees today. It takes a bit to get used to that temperature, which I can do but the weather this summer has been fluctuating so much between lows and highs that it's more of a challenge this year. But it's still fun to be out there.

Ingleton Community Centre is a great event HQ and it was nice to see all kinds of things on the sports field behind. The trail past Crina Bottom looked bone dry - I'll bet it felt warm on the ascent under that cloudless sky. A well deserved ice cream ! Funnily enough I was just a few miles away from Ingleton on Saturday.
