Christoph Waltz deserved the Oscar for his performance in Hanz Landa ❤

The discouraging performance of the actors, the intricate plot, the amazing musical accompaniment, and the classic feeling of fun for Tarantino movies, no matter what situation happens on the screen.💢 I once saw moments with Christoph Waltz in the role of Hans, I decided that I would definitely watch, and finally it happened. Expectations are met, you really start watching already with the feeling that you watched this movie, but surprisingly you don't remember anything. A movie with an alternative ending and the simultaneous demise of the entire top of the Reich. The movie that started the collaboration with the great composer Ennio Morricone. A great cast. For fans of Tarantino creativity, viewing is mandatory! Thank you so much for your excellent reaction to this movie!🦊🫶🏻

In my opinion, Christoph Waltz is the premier actor of our times. I am blown away by the way he can go from utterly charming and disarming in one moment to terrifyingly menacing and threatening in the next instant - superb! His mastery of dialogue was also on display just as effectively in “Django Unchained,” another Quentin Tarantino masterpiece.
@donovans.2 ай бұрын
Waltz is tremendous, but ‘premier actor of our times’? Sorry, gotta disagree with you there. There’s one actor that is a God amongst men, and that’s Daniel Day Lewis-he’s the undisputed best of ALL TIME. I love Christoph Waltz, and a few others are on his level. But no one compares to Daniel Day Lewis. From ‘My Left Foot’, to ‘In the Name of the Father’, to ‘There Will Be Blood’, to ‘Gangs of New York’, to ‘Lincoln’ and on and on. Even the most well regarded actors themselves admittedly worship Daniel Day Lewis. And this takes nothing away from Walz-he’s brilliant in this film and a few others. But the GOAT is DDL!
@sarahnadeofpoetryАй бұрын
You forgot one thing: he also knows how to play pathetic and be the heel of a scene. You almost feel bad for him when he gets 'betrayed' at the end cos of how genuinely horrified he was at what was happening. It goes to show how truly multifaceted Christoph Walz is as an actor.
@sarahnadeofpoetryАй бұрын
@@donovans. Oh, give me a break. It takes zero effort to say everything you just did, and everyone (including actors) will say they agree out of the same mindset as yours. If you think critically about it, actors like Joaquin Phoenix, Saoirse Ronan, Oscar Isaac, Olivia Colman and so on are all on Lewis's level, it's just that humanity loves simplicity and will shun nuance, which is why we lazily say, 'Yeah, it's this guy, he's the best, whatever' and leave it at that. Which is still wrong.
@donovans.4 күн бұрын
@@sarahnadeofpoetry I don’t think you’ve watched many Daniel day Lewis films-not with that dismissive tone in your response. It’s not a trendy opinion he’s the GOAT-it’s due to merit-he deserves it, and if you watch the films of his I listed, I’m certain you’ll feel different. To be fair, the fair, the actors you listed are tremendous, some of my fav’s too! Just not GOAT.

Sorry, no magical powers or non-stop explosions. Just tregedy wrapped inside a generational love story. Next level acting and parts of the film take part in Spain Oscar Isaac, Olivia Wilde, Annette Bening, Antonio Banderas, Samuel L. Jackson. Just superb.

Fun Fact: At that time many Strudels were served with cream that was not vegetable but rather pork lard, that's why Landa insists that she wait for the cream, Landa knows who she could be so he provokes her with the glass of milk and tests her with the cream, the Jews cannot eat anything made of pork so she eats to save her life. In the end it is seen that Landa wanted to tell her about his suspicions but since she ate the Strudel with lard he says that he doesn't remember it and just leaves.

Quentin Tarantino is an absolute master when it comes to wordplay. The riveting dialogue and epic monologues are characteristic of all his films. He is also renowned for his ability to develop multiple seemingly unrelated plot lines simultaneously, which only interweave later in the movie. It is often not until the final scene that the audience can truly comprehend and appreciate the full meaning of all the previous scenes. That is one of the keys that make his masterpieces so enjoyable and unique! It is one of the marks of his genius that set his productions above and beyond all of the usual tripe, tired story lines, and hackneyed, worn-out tropes that Hollywood mindlessly spews out nowadays…
