I’ve heard numerous interpetations of this piece yet this is the best one which truly captures what the nocturne is supposed to be

Great peice. Instead of practicing this I practiced no. 1. Still love all nocturnes. What I would love to see on your page is your playing of Mazurka op 24 no 4 and Etude op 25 no 6. I am obsessed with those pieces because of you. (currently practicing one of them)

When Ingolf Wunder disappears and only the Sound exists, and all people listen and feel eternity, than time stands still.

Beautifully played! I'm playing this piece for a great friend on her birthday, can you please tell me what is the reason/trick to playing "seemingly" mismatchingly? like, your left and right-hand don't exactly match on the beat if you know what i mean, but it adds a romantic musical feeling to the piece like Chopin is supposed to be. The way I'm playing the piece rn is a bit robotic or too rigid, if you can understand what i'm trying to say that's wonderful, thx! :)

Thank you so much! It's all about freedom, rubato and emotions. Stay tuned. My wife and I initiate many things now in terms of education. Be sure to check ingolfwunder.com or appassio.com to be informed of what we do. Best, IW

The right hand is meant to sing. Sometimes it deviates from the accompaniment, which is intentional. That's rubato, but then it assumes strict tempo after a while. The right hand has lots of freedom while the left hand stays strict in Chopin's nocturnes, but there is freedom.
