Weaving Meanings: Telephone Wire Art from South Africa at the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This is the first exhibition of its kind in any North American museum and will showcase the vibrant and culturally significant tradition of South African telephone wire art. A generous contribution from David Arment and Jim Rimelspach and their donation of the David Arment Southern African Collection to the museum have made this groundbreaking exhibition possible. Curated by Dr. Elizabeth Perrill and guided by South African Indigenous Knowledge
Experts, the exhibition highlights the resilience and ingenuity of South African artists. Each piece tells stories of heritage, identity and creativity.
