Heeeelllllpppp I am 80 years old, my hubby is 85 .. have been playing for awhile, I am level 15, he is Level 11. Just upgraded to Prime and we are completelyh lost :-) Where to start??? We live in a small country town and don't have any local players - nearest about 50km away. .

@@HarryHelsing The continual issues with Ingress's management, release, code, etc. It was disheartening as an intense fan. Although I will say probably the first real motivation hit to my actual playing and not just on production was actually when I ended up in the hospital and lost sojourner at over 500 days.

Tip for your next video. Speed lock. When driving between portals click on your agent profile and click on a badge. As long as you dont minimize your scanner, you will be able interact with the next portal when you arrive. If you minimized scanner, the gps tracking locks you at the location you minimized the scanner so when you bring the scanner back active you have the gps jump from that location to current location, which will engage the speed lock. let me see if I get this correct I cannot link anything under a field ever? So this field that covers the whole southeast corner of my state (covering like 5 towns) I am just screwed and cannot do any linking? Is there any point to even continue to play this game? I cannot drive hours away to try and setup new links or tear down links. Anyways kinda screwy.

There are so many links blocking at my area that it's unplayable. No new links or fields can be created and most of the map had no fields

Well, I live under a roughly 50 x 50 km field... and I'm right in the center. I can't link *****. What am I supposed to do? Oh and this giant field is from my team... So all I can do is hack and capture portals ? Or drive 30min to be outside the field? That's all I can do?

If y'all don't mind me asking, what exactly is so bad about Prime compared to the old Ingress? Serious question. I'm only just getting back into the game now thanks to this series, and so far, Prime seems to me to work just as well as the old one while also looking better and having better camera control on par with PoGo... That being said, I haven't put that much time into playing with the Prime client yet so there may be some issue that I haven't come up against. I remember it being laggy on my phone when it first came out, but after booting it up the other day, it seems to run great on my Samsung Galaxy S7. I have to ask, though, because the comments on these videos have all been full of people tossing out negative comments about how Prime "Needs work" and such without ever saying what specifically they don't like about it... Haha. Not to call anyone out, I'm just curious. xD

Just the first what comes to my mind: - No portal center point - Glyph painting is soooo painfully slow - XM is almost invisible under fields - Contrast and colors overally don't help much - No textures on links and fields, they're just like lines and polygons made in paint - Yellow texture of field on a discharged portal? Wtf? Transparent holes and overall fainting were at least logical - Loading time - Poor location handling (Redacted is more precise) - Bad UI response for +20% damage (it's very unclear how it should look like to get exaclty +20%, not +18 or +19; in Redacted it is an easily visible circle; it's so less visible in Prime) ...

So far I've found this. Prime- speedlock is annoying. Hit this a lot as I'm usually attacking Anchors on a BAF that are several km apart. Glyph hacking is better in redacted scanner had failed glyphs due to the prime tracing. Inventory management in prime is better hands down. Linking- I think prime is better with setting up multiple links. Still best to preplan your links and only have keys for portals you want to link to outside of capsules Recharge is better in prime. You have a separate button for boosted charges, and using cubes to refill xm is much better in prime. Attacks. Unboosted attacks are way faster in prime. I dropped portals and recaptured against a player using redacted before it even went grey on his scanner. I heard from one of his teammates he suspected machinegun mod on my part. Boosted attacks. Redacted wins here Attack animation. It lags in prime. You will have greyed out a portal before it shows. So when you're attacking those last couple resonators, you may need to check the portal to see if the resonator is still there. Location accuracy. I find I drift a lot more in prime. Had the scanner slingshot me back and forth about 200m between portals before. Prime- I've also seen wierd graphics errors. A couple weeks ago prime was showing me under a blue field, and I was still linking. Actual field was about 300m north of where I was at the time. Also seen where links appear to cross other links.

Collin Williams Good Day, I wanna talk with you if possible, my Town has no portals or things to go in ingress, can you somehow help me or explain how to create portals and bring my Town to Life in Ingress Prime, there are alot of us in the comunnity that wanna play Ingress and Pokemon GO and there are no stops or portals witch makes it hard to play cuz we have to travel 16-18 KM witch is like 10 Miles i tink. Love your videos! Strong suggestion to rename them using number series different from 101 102 103, then you start another series with 101 102 103. The next series should be 110 111 112 or 201 202 203. It’s very confusing and hard to find the right or next video in sequence..also sending someone new to watch your videos I could say, watch the 100 series videos sine you are new, and presto they know right where to go.

At time stamp 2:03 in this 15 minute video he says that it is not possible to make a link under a field. Thank gawd that is no longer true. If that were the case I would still be level 1 and I would not be playing this game. The blue smurfs have been constantly keeping us under their thumb. Thank goodness we can cast fields under theirs. This video needs to be updated. And what's the deal with this thing being dead? No comments in 3 years? What's that about?

Colin, my 80-something mom loves playing ingress but is totally lost in prime. In the 101 video there's a decent description of the main game interface, but you barely touch on the portal interface... PLEASE make a video for somewhat experienced ingress players that just explains the new interface! (Maybe side by side with redacted) Obviously gameplay focused... inventory management is a whole 'nother video.

Started in summer last year, level 13 now and attended anomaly in Amsterdam last weekend. It makes me sad how horrible prime is compared to redacted. It needs a TON of work. It all looks so blurry and difficult to see... Prime is like 1 step forward and 5 steps back.
