I've recently seen the dance to Turn to Stone on So You Think You Can Dance. It was so beautiful, it made me cry. I came to this song via the weekly list of spotify music suggestions and I couldn't stop listening to it. It took a while until I understood the message the song has for me. this song is part of the reason I can finally fight my depression and fight to get help. like it's saying if you wait for a helping hand you will fall. at start I was really hurt by this sentence cause all I wanted is someone to help me get rid of anxiety and depressive thoughts and so on and I cried lots of tears about it. I waited for someone to take my hand and guide me to therapy, guide me to become a better person. but that sentence is true in it's purest form, you can't wait for the prince or princess to rescue you, you have to claim the help you need, you have to fight for it, to push out of boundaries and ask for the things you need most. for a long time I was not strong enough to do that but finally I claim my help, I will fight my depression, I will get a grip on my live and I will do what I want in live. For all desperate people out there fighting depression or other mental health issues, fight for the help you need, you deserve it and you can do it!
