I suggest we use this solid cover as a moment of appreciation for David Robak; who among many other things was Hope Sandoval Co- founder of Mazzy Star , who co-composed this song with her and was one of its co-producers. He passed away from cancer in the 24th of February 2020. Let this cover, which reminds and probably introduces new listners to the beauty of this song, be a reminder of how long David Robak's music will stay with us.

I heard this song on my Inhaler Pandora channel and genuinely thought it was their song that just kinda sounded like another I'd heard. That's the mark of a great cover, when they do such a good job it makes you question if it really is a cover. I'd love to hear them do a cover of Chris Isaac's Wicked Game. All these years I've never felt like anyone else could do it justice, but if anyone could it would be Inhaler.

this song will always remind me of being a kid. there was always at least one stereo playing music in our house pretty much at all times. i remember hearing this entire album, playing with my toys while my mom cooked dinner or cleaned the house. my stepdad used to just lay on the couch in front of the speakers and listen. i picked this habit up and we've since dubbed it sound bathing. just turning the speakers up and laying there doing nothing but listening. i havent even heard this song in years, but it instantly transported me back to being a kid.

My very best friend in the whole world played piano and keyboards while I played guitar. We were a great fit when we played together and we jammed a lot for many years. He was just so greatly talented…..he just had such a unique style and natural feel for it. It was an honor to have known him for so many countless memories. He died tragically (2016) and I’ve never been the same since. The keyboard work in THIS version by Inhaler is so stylistic and I KNOW Dave would have greatly appreciated to hear it if he could have. I got chills hearing this version. With this song, Inhaler just took me back to a place I have buried deep down in me and that I rarely visit. Sometimes I miss Dave too much and can’t allow myself to think of him. I feel guilty about that. I guess I’ve never really dealt with the loss of him. I can’t imagine that I ever will. He was my brother in every sense of the word. His headstone reads “The song is over, but the music lingers on”. It’s a very true and fitting statement for him, and at the same time it’s a reality I don’t think I can ever be settled with.
