I just love Joaquin, he's one of those incredibly watchable people, someone with profound eyes, like De Niro, Nicholson, Pacino, PS Hoffman, Cazale... that instantaneous depth in someone's face is something I just love. And I think, more than talent, is what makes the legendary actors.

To think Joaquin did The Master, Her, and Inherent Vice almost back to back without a break. And he is so VASTLY different in each. He makes Peter Sellers look like Mr. Rogers.

Aww Lord, the boy is so over the moon just being able to interview him; and Joaquin can’t care less! lol Responding to his excited look as, “well, you know... not really... I don’t know... I don’t think of it... don’t remember!”. What’s interesting is, the interviewer doesn’t even get pissed or disappointed during this inconclusive interview. 😄

vedonna80 it’s weird how actors get paid so much for their roles, and yet they can’t even muster an ounce of enthusiasm to promote the very films their starring in.

I think it's really the fact that he's really modest about his talent, and I don't think he likes to show too much appreciation when people compliment him because he's not that sort of person, he's very modest, and that's a great thing. He's not up himself. So it followed that smile and "thank you" show of appreciation, but then he showed how modest he really felt about it so he had quite a serious face. It was more of humbling look, he doesn't want to feel important, but he appreciated the compliment.

Nothing in the interview is a spoiler. If you're referring to the Brolin/Phoenix fight scene...that is in the first 30 minutes of the movie. If you're referring to the scene about the Polaroid...that is in the trailer. There's absolutely zero spoilers in that entire interview! Thanks for watching my interview!
