Idea: I think it would be interesting to set months to something like 3 day cycles and then speed up time to 10x or 15x. You get a similar amount of daytime hours (multiple days per episode), however, longer days gives the opportunity to appreciate a greater variety of weather, increased shop sale rotations, and I think the change in light from mornings to evenings makes everything feel more immersive aswell.

Osada is a beautiful map, good choice for the great vintage survival series. Imo you should be allowed to do contracts, with you own equipment. I would have cut down the trees and extend the field, and save the flattest part for buildings or animals.
@Keegan_Kael2 жыл бұрын
Great map for this series, I think you nailed the vibe. A few thoughts: 1: Contracts to make money. Rent vintage equipment and just refund everything over the borrow cost in the contract. 2: Grass can be harvested multiple times per year, meaning multiple batches of silage to sell in winter. 3: I personally find the costs of a lot of older/smaller equipment and mods to be unreasonable given the changes to the economy. To keep the vintage feel I would not be afraid to take votes on price changes.
@malik7402 жыл бұрын
I think not starting with 0£ is a nice roleplay touch because somehow your grandfather/uncle/whoever worked the fields so either he sold the equip in his last days or you have personal savings enabling you to do the jump to the country side. Same with the shed. The previous owner must have had something like that at least for seeds/fertilizer and low usage equipment and winter storage. Really love that you picked this series back up :)

Joy is a vintage tractor on a small farm. If you make that area short of the trees into part of the field, you'll need a plow. Consider cutting down the trees bordering the field by the yard. You'll eventually have a shed there to act as the border, so you won't need those trees. You can plant more trees in the other area to compensate. Happy farming.

Love the Vintage series!! Osada is indeed a very nice map, not only for Vintage. I played 2 singleplayer series on it (>100 hours). If you are looking for another map with (party) older style potential, you could look at Brzozowski. A lot larger (has disadvantages of course) leading to more options to choose you spot and immerse into the 'living' town(s) around you.

Definitely a grass, hay, or silage field where the trees are. That way you can cut and bring in a consistent income a few times a year to get some money for the combine. There is a sickle bar mower mod (which is very cheap) and a bunch of other vintage grass equipment around. Check them out!!

Lovely start ! As far as equipment goes, I'd go with maybe a NH TR-75 or an IH 1420 or even a New Idea 800c, which could potentially do some forage harvesting... Some Oliver / MM (A4T-1600 e.g.) , maybe some White / AGCO stuff. All that if you wanna go the American way 😉 Plenty of IH and JD stuff anyway, there sure are choices now at this point of the mods situations !

So glad this series is back! The Wood barn mod on DLC has 2 nice 3 bay sheds. wide enough for the drill and plenty of room for anything else. would fit the map. you have 2 options one is 3 bay for $2500 and the other is the same but with a catch barrel for rainwater at $2700.

Nice to see you picked this little map ideal for your purpose. I Played this map a while back. You cant get into the buildings of what appear to be farm yards even though you can buy them. It may be a glitch. Good idea. Clear up that yard a bit and you have room for a coupla sheds. You may need that bit of land below those trees you are saving for some form of production because on NF its a bit of a struggle even if dumping the cow pens and going arable. There is a pig farm and green houses further up the map by the small lake that could be purchased though...Peace and Gravy

But that was ions ago and we've had a lot of superb mods drop since then. So I might have to revisit Osada. Maybe. Great episode, looking forward to watching you progress through this series. But I gotta say that it does seem a bit unrealistic using that big seed drill with that little tractor. But whatever, got it done.

I love this map. I recently finished my Off Grid Dairy Challenge on this map. My favorite location on the map is the sand/gravel pit area where you can buy lime. Love how it’s decorated. The grass contracts on this map have a nice return In bonuses. It’s a small yard, my suggestion would be using your oats in a small production possibly. Like looking into one of OmaTana’s Productions. Instead of grass silage, you could give a go with a “leftovers” silo bunker. Turning your straw and such into silage. Just would need to save for a bunker. Otherwise utilizing maybe even a multi crop greenhouse or making a small grass field. Very nice start my friend 😁

Idea: A small row of beehives between the shed and the muddy area, to break it up into two small areas. The muddy area maybe a small pig pen. If you still need money maybe a mowing contract with the goverment in that area as much of the grass is growing on the footpaths. Tree area could maybe be split into a small wood and a small vine yard. The area seems a little overgrown in places so who knows what you might find in the undergrowth. Great work Daggerwin, Bring on part 2.

I'm playing on this map myself for a while now, and I must say it's hard for newer and bigger equipment. It has narrow paths, and a lot of trees on them, same as on polish countryside on which it's based, and large machinery just doesn't fit under. Map on itself isn't that big either, borders are very close to the fields ( tractor length on average ), but it is fun. Good luck with your playtrough, I'll be watching it to see you progress :)

Would love to see an aerial view, but I would recommend putting a small crop to the right of the house (if you’re facing the house and your back is facing the shed) along the road and an L-shaped crop to the left of the house. I’d put dirt in front of the house and shed) then later add gravel. I’d add a dirt path from the shed to the top of the hill. I’d put a larger shed in place of the existing one (later in the series.) Lastly, I’d put a fence along the road to your current crop. Seems too open at the moment.

Take out the trees, put in a greenhouse set to distribute so you have at least a small regular income from selling your veg. Some small amount of grass, perhaps just in the yard? To feed some sheep or something, stick with crops that produce hay for a while to give you that little bit of hay income. But definitely take out the trees, they will pay for the trailer and some of the things you will need to get started.
