If they used 2d, there would be more trouble as (under the assumption they used the same outfit as we do now) they would need to draw in spots in the exact spots by hand (it becomes even harder when they were to use different perspectives) and I just KNOW people would drag them whenever they mess that up. 3D on the other hand is much easier because when they animate they aren’t individually drawing the spots-they’re already there as they just make another model as for the hero forms and there you have it now just go animate their limbs and change the camera angle.

Personally I think MLB would of been better 2D with a rig/puppet (2D puppets/rigs can turn out so beautifully animated, think for example the MLP Generation 4 movie (NOT THE NEW ONE). Also even if they were doing frame by frame, they could EASILY do a lot of stuff to make it more efficient: -Such as making a spots pattern to use, and after they draw the whole moving frame, simply put it in a layer under and move according (think of shows like chowder, but instead of the pattern moving on its own, it'll move with the body). It is not hard to find work arounds for something if you'll be drawing it a lot. Patterns and stamps are your best friend and can be easily added into frame by frame. Honestly, 3D is still a hard medium to use (and make look nice, some of the people like Luka for example just look a bit off). (I also think saying there would of been more issues in 2D is acting like the 3D does not have a lot of awkward animation and issues as well).

Because the show is in 3D and on a budget, I can forgive the lack of texture and the fact that everything is skin tight. But I can't forgive the colour palettes they gave the characters. Luka and Zoe look great, but almost everyone else has such garish colours. It's so distracting!

I mean I’m learning animation and even if it’s tough to model a new outfit to the character they could at least change the render on it to pretend it’s something different, like a character wears the same t-shirt but every episode they change it’s color and maybe put something drawn or written there, it’s difficult but not that difficult

I think Rose's outfit is actually a dhort and skirt, not dress. The white and pink strips are the top, and then she has a pink skirt on underneath and then white leggings underneath that. (She also has the weird rope belt on the shirt) In conclusion her whole outfit is a mess, she should have been in a pale pink dress - same shade as the shoes - and then a white belt/sincher to give a break in the pink.
