Shame I was hoping for a single player and 6 player mode but I'll still probably pick it up at some point.

Not sure how a wash would allow the black minis to pop. Id suggest drybrushing it, but I'm not sure what color you'd use?

For that I have a light gray wash. I will take a picture of them when I am done. I normally still do a light dry brush after the wash but it wont be anything to crazy.

Do you have any color difference on the green/red/yellow card backs for the expansion cards vs. base game cards? I've read about this issue on BGG but it's unclear if it's been resolved or not in recent printings. You mention the shade is very close in your review, would you say it's exactly the same or still slightly different?

Not in the copy I got which I ordered about one week before that review. They are the same and cannot tell them apart

How is this expansion for two player games? I think only modules 5, 4 and 3 are usable.

Module 3, 4, and 5 can be used with two players. But you are right module 1 and 2 are not designed for it. I personally was not a fan of two player with the base game and the expansion did not change my thought on this. Although it can be played two player the game really shines at the 4 to 5 player count.
