i like how you can see the difference in skill between the two of them: Takumi drifts his car in the iconic Initial D fashion and Akio doesnt drift his car at all, resorting to simply slowing down and turning in most hairpins, though Devil Z's massive HP helps him keep up.

Drifting an FR car with too much horsepower like the Z here would either mean having to slow down considerably to maintain a safe amount of oversteer OR just completely losing the rear end from the uncontrollable amount of oversteer. Many motorsport disciplines maintain a grip approach on asphalt on a RWD car. To some extent, Nakazato was right all along; grip is king in an actual race

@@jdjGSHBFjh68827 Not sure if you watched the anime before but they definitely do drift in the Wangan, I'd say almost as fast as they do in Initial D atleast when it comes to high speed corners. During the search for the Zero FC3S, Akio lends his car to another guy I forgot the name of and tells him to drive. They reach a tight bend leading to a tunnel and the guy drifts through those which makes Reina in the passenger seat go like _"Isn't he being a bit too dangerous"_ to which Akio replies _"No, he's driving the car properly"_ A tight bend on the wangan looks to be around the level of a high - medium speed turn on a mountain pass, so courses like Hakone are the devil's playground while Tsukuba FL would be a nightmare for Akio

There can’t be a proper comparison as z was made for maintaining high speeds and does max velocity due to longer gears and is turbo charged while ae86 is made for shaving fast corners and thanks to mechanical tuning it stays in power band while z is turboed so it takes time to spool . Anyways,if that ae86 was in Wangan , it wouldn’t stand a chance. Z dis pretty good though . Bro can you please upload ae86 vs z on wangan mod.
