Super! Useful! Would be good to remind where/how to get to the main adjuster through the back cover.

You are absolutely right. I'll add a pic with a pointer at the end of the video. Thank you.

Nice job! Probably this wouldn't last long here in Brazil due to the high alcohol content in gasoline...

Hello Mark, you mentioned one may not adjust the idle adjustment screw when the engine is running. What to do if someone makes this mistake? Does this mistake cause a serious problem (any damage), or can one solve this situation? And how? Am I to remove the end plate of the governor part, and screw something back on the governor shaft? I would appreciate your advice (help...)

Is it build the same? Your best bet is to address this question with DPUK.

by removing the spacers from the top piece, is that enough adjustment? my car is running very good at iddle and fires right up, but cannot stop the black smoke when i press the gas. any advice?

That adjustment is very sensitive. You may try 1/8 turn or less to start. Mark current position and than after you find the happy spot place the corresponding shims and lock it tightly.

Hi Mark, is the pump similar to the ones fitted on the M130? I'd like to perform an adjustment to the individual ranges, but I really can't find much material on the individual four screws in black and white that you showcase.

Chris, unless you have proper pump flow testing equipment, were you can precisely set the rpm spikes and test the transition, Do Not touch them! Look elsewhere first. Fuel lines, injectors, supply pump, regulator. Are you getting 15psi at the pump inlet?

To answer your question directly, yes this pump is very much like the one on the M130 engine. With the main difference being the oil flow. On the newer 130 engine you have the flow through design while on the older there is a dipstick for you to check and adjust. I still recommend a proper flush as it is possible for contaminants to settle at the bottom.

@@markhabel2252 Linkages are set, fuel flow is good. Pump was rebuilt 6 years ago but was never set correctly and the car was put away afterwards. I've confirmed that the pump functions as intended but it's slightly out of adjustment, causing a lean running issue at low RPM and a rich running issue at high. Is there a procedure to the screws? I'm thinking - do you have to screw the white ones and black ones in pairs of two? Say two clicks of both white screws? I imagine one screw controls one of the centrifuges, but it's so hard to find information regarding the adjustment online. As long as I only do clicks and writing down the direction, I guess it shouldn't be too hard to adjust?

@@JackpodyDK Yes , the white and black screws need to be adjusted in pairs. Make a note every time you even attempt to touch it! I still advise against. Provided the pump is out of the car I would fill it with the trany fluid and turn it every so often. That will get the gunky deposits off the weights.

@@markhabel2252 Thank you for the replies. Before I take the cover off, I just need to know, does the tube holding the adjustment screws rotate? It doesn't seem like it, but I really can't figure out if it should rotates.
