I got injured twice, and somehow still got called up for the national team both times. When i couldnt play, i got to ther reserves, and in the national team its almost impossible to get from reserve to sup. EA need to fix that in fifa 23. You shouldnt be able to be called up to the national team, when youre injured.

ACL? Same happened to me but I was a youngster at city awaiting loan during pre season. Defender from some team in Belgian league fouled me from the back and didn’t get the ball. Ref ignored it, stayed on the pitch for another 20 minutes only to get the message injured for 7 months at the start of the season. Quite infuriating when I came back and got injured again for 4 months.

Injuries are one of, if not the most broken part of this game's PCM. If you get injured flr anything more than 8 days (for like a bruised elbow or something), you get transfer-listed and even if you train as soon as it's available, it does jack shit. So if Simon wants to stay at Barcelona, he should just ignore all trasfer offers. If you stay and perform for long enough, he'll get taken off the transfer list.
