if you get a cut put it above your heart, like raise your hand in the air, blood finds it hard to pump uphill. Hope this helps

You should get on of those steel finger shields used for cutting while cooking that they advertise on KZbin. It is like armor for your non-knife hand.

Having a very good first aid kit helps, making sure it has everything you might need and anything else you might not need but you never know. Always have plenty of plasters and tape, lint is worth having and germoline for cuts n grazes. Also is your tetanus injection up to date, I think its every 10 years but worth a check all the same. Phone 911 for help or 999 for an emergency. Finding out where the nearest hospitals are, just in case. Hope these tips help but no doubt you have all these in place. So to hear about ur cut the most silliest accidents are the ones that hurt the most, l cut my self on my finger once and the cold effected it and it swelled up and l had to seek medical help. The tree looks nice and the right size for Alba, u know whats good about a small tree less needles will fall. Have a safe coming week 💜xx

Wow, what an incredibly trippy place that was, could have really enjoyed that in the 70's! You've confirmed my thoughts on boat life, you need to be 100% able bodied to cope with it. I've thought many times how hard it'd be if something happened to someone on a boat as you'd still have to do everything to just live not to mention still having to move every two weeks. Think I'd need a Plan B if I lived on a boat. Hope you know to seek help if ever a cut stays bleeding too long by the way. Hope your finger's getting better now.

Nice one guys, thanks for another great episode. Firstly, re injury: I read, many years ago, that cayenne pepper powder, if applied to even a major , arterial blood loss injury. will stem the flow of blood, and could save your life, I have put this to the test on at least 2/3 occasions and it works just as claimed, it stings like hell as can be imagined but it does work.. So, always have some hot chilli powder to hand, it could save your life. What the hell are The Council thinking about in changing the water connection details, don't they realize that water is essential to life and that people should always have access to it? Bristol looked fantastic guys, hope your manifestations actually materialised. Take care xx

Hi Marina, Myles, another great Vlog Thank you. Marina really sorry about your finger. You can get knife resistant gloves very cheaply from Amazon . I wear one glove on the hand not holding the knife, as its so easy to have an accident. Really glad your getting better now. Have a great week. Take care.

Hi guys, seeing you chop vegetables and telling the story of your cut finger made me wince ,that's nasty .I hope by now its healed and you're back to normal. That was a bit mean of the council to change the water fittings without notice ,you can't live without water.I saw that Julie & Mark are having to haul water in their trolley because of the red state of the river. I'm looking forward to seeing your tree all decorated next week .Till then no more accidents please stay warm and snug . Cheers from me and Canada where it's been surprisingly mild and o snow yet.X

Any bleeding from fingers toes etc........... raise you arm as much as you can.......basic first aid......... then just put pressure on it with dry clean material........

So do you just need a different adapter for the council taps or are you no longer allowed to use them ?

I don’t think we can use them with the hose. We should still be able to use them to fill up the portable 100 litre tank we’ve got 💜 xx

@@CruisingAlba as long as the council tap has a threaded spout, you can get different sized adaptors to screw into the end. One of those should work. It is a common garden hose thing. The last one I used on a boat had different sized end bits including a different sized smaller end bit that screwed into a larger one that had the fitting for the hose. Talk to a neighbour boater and they can show you?
