This was a job I carried out for a lovely couple in Cambridge recently. The wife of a permanently injured army veteran, got in touch after watching some of my videos on KZbin. Unfortunately her husband doesn't balance well on his feet, so finds this type of work nearly impossible. He was injured in Afghanistan. His wife didn't go into too much detail, but said his actions saved 3 of his friends, (why I have referred to him as a hero) but left him permanently injured, and unable to carry out tasks that he would have normally carried out with ease.
With the wife suffering with arthritis, and unable to carry out this type of work either, they started looking for people to hire that they thought could do a good job. This led them to me after watching my channel, and realising that I was only 20 mins drive from them.
After a site visit and a chat, I felt compelled to offer a hefty discount, but neither would accept it, they insisted that I charged full price, but just carried out the job to a high standard. Which I accepted and had to respect.
Both couldn't have been happier with the results, especially as the algae was starting to become a real slip hazard, a big problem for both of them.
This was job was a real pleasure for me, with an emotional story behind it, I hope you all enjoy the transformation, as much as I loved carrying out the work this lovely, deserving couple, Nick.

Ahhh, it felt so good. Sometimes you have the perfect timing... when I noticed this new video I was very angry and fixated on some bad thoughts. The neatly done real time work without music and time lapses created a message like 'get back to reality, it isn't that bad' for me. Usually I love the sped up parts the most, but today this was just what I needed. Of course, great work and nice result :D But I don't really have to say that, you seemed to remember me and that I love your work in your last comment ;) I'm just positively surprised that the pointing seemed hardly damaged. With that dark before picture I wouldn't have expected that.

Glad you worked on that place. I think we are all trained to react to Black Spot at this point, let alone algae. Really like your simple bucket technique as well. Thanks for the explanations of sorting obstacles on the property. That is something that would be encountered all the time. Nice catch on the algae on the brick wall. Appreciate your observation about Bird-Bath areas and things as berries causing dye effects. Thorough work and the recovery on the patio looks exceptionally nice.

Sodium Hydrochlorate 15%, diluted 1 to 6, that's just my experience with it ♥️

The „surfactant to create foam“ you have listed in the description… is that used just so you can see where the sodium hypochlorite has already been applied? Does it provide added benefits? Loving this channel man! You do really stellar work

Thanks so much Danielle. The main reason I use surfactant is to help with dwell time. Without surfactant the hypo will evaporate quicker, it can also pool in lower sections, so with surfactant it sticks to the whole surface, even if it's uneven 👍

We have Indian stone in our front garden. When it is clean can we put a sealant so it does not go black like it is now.

Sealant doesn’t stop organic growth from growing on a patio, it just makes it slightly easier to clean. I wouldn’t waste your money on sealer, in most cases it’s completely pointless

I have a question. so the main ingredient in supermarket 'thick bleach' is just sodium hypochlorite. I'm assuming that the stuff you use is a much higher concentration because I've been trying to clean my moss covered tarmac driveway myself using a (in comparison to yours) low powered pressure washer and spraying with 'thick bleach' but it's been a nightmare. Is there a product you would recommend to people trying to do it themselves to kill the moss and make it easier for a lower powered pressure washer to remove? Great work on the videos btw, keep it up!
