Parker Quink Black has a sentimental value for me. When I bought my first fountain pen back in 2012 at The Fountain Pen Shop in Monrovia, California, Fred Krinke always had a bottle of it in his store whenever you wanted to try out any fountain pens. He passed away back in 2019, and I will miss his kindness and expertise with fountain pens.

I'm not sure what it is about your videos, but they make me so happy! I found out about your channel about a year ago because I wanted to find some reviews on a pen, and I thought nothing of it. But then I found you again when I was looking up an old typewriter that came into my possession, and I realized that your videos really resonate with me. You just sound so authentic when you speak, and your camping videos really remind me of the poetry I used to read when I was in college. You are such an extraordinary person, and I just wanted you to know that. I'm not sure if it's your voice, or how calm you make the world feel when you talk about pens. I really cant explain it. But I watch every video you put out, and I want you to know that they are always excellent quality, even when they are about pens that drip ink all over the page. Thank you so much for being a content creator, you make my day so much brighter every time you upload.

It is a great favorite of mine as well, Diamine Oak. As for your pen, it seems a kind of blessing, as if Autumn's leaves were dropping tears of joy, relief filling them knowing that Summer's work was done, and now they tremble, eagerly awaiting the release and flight into the sky to other lands and new adventures. Beautiful drops. Wonderful month. May it be a blessing to you, as it is for my wife, whose birthday is on the 11th of this month.

My Tuckaway does the same thing sometimes! And I have also noticed the changing light...the sun is at a new angle to greet Autumn. Today, even here in hot and humid South Carolina, it's as if Mother Nature flipped a switch because it's October 1... of course, we'll still have balmy weather for another month and a half...fall doesn't fully arrive until mid November here. Still, that new air and new light is noticeable!! Enjoy your favorite month! And thank you for your always sweet videos! 😊

Very interesting to see this video because I inked up my TWSBI VAC 700R with autumn oak two days ago for exactly that reason: autumn. And my Vac has a rather broad medium nib, a little on the dry side, and it looks absolutely different on the paper. So I have to try it in a Pelikan or so to see how it performs. I always put it in my TWSBI, cause this inks screams for a demonstrator, but now you made me curious ;-) Thank you for the video!

@@adventuredenali Speaking of Diamine, I bought Prussian Blue after your combination video. I see why you love it so much. Parker Quink Black is what we used at school, so I'm not very fond of it (writing in school as a leftie was a frustrating experience). It's also the only ink that's widely available on the High Street in the UK, so I've used it for work as well for decades now. It strikes me as a not-quite black, which isn't right for me. But it is a reliable ink, so I keep giving it another chance...

I've read that there are "permanent" versions of Parker Quink inks called "Super Quink", however I haven't seen any modern Parker ink box/bottle with such a name ("Super Quink") written on it so far, but just "Quink". How to differentiate the "Super Quink" (permanent ink) bottles from the standard "Quink" (non-permanent ink) ones? Or is it the same ink that some people call it "Super Quink" when in fact it is just "Quink"? Maybe they refer it to as "Super Quink" when there's no legend "washable" written on the box/bottle (black, blue-black) and as "Quink" when there's the legend "washable" written on the box/bottle (blue)? It's just so confusing!
