I got my bottle today and wanted to post a few thoughts here. First, this might be the best flowing ink I own. Obviously optimal flow is a matter of taste but I find this ink to be wet without "gushing". The shading is truly incredible and the color looks more terra-cotta/brown in person which I like very much. The brown benchmark on the label was a great personal touch that I really appreciate. I purchased the ink thinking it would be a nice way to support Dr. Brown but I can easily see this becoming one of my very favorite inks as well. I do hope more of these inks will be available in the future and in larger quantities. I think Diamine really hit a home run by allowing a fountain pen user to design an ink with all of us in mind. It is truly a unique ink that screams "I am using a fountain pen". I'll use it with much joy. Thanks Dr. Brown!!

Oh goodness that is a gorgeous spectrum of brown in that ink! I've never much been a fan of brown inks, but this stuff makes me truly consider some. Hope there's more of your ink soon! I'd honestly be happy to see an entire range of sbrebrown inks, I've always loved Inkcyclopedia and I tend to agree with your opinions on all the different colors and shading.

I inked up my trusty Italix Prescriptor medium italic and I'm enjoying it a lot. And by the way...that's a nice watch. :-) --Let me also add that you are quite right about the shipping. I've worked many years in the international shipping business and can assure everyone that that no matter where the sender is & what the destination country is, international shipping is always going to be expensive. It can often cost more than the actual item being shipped where small packages are concerned. This is in no way the sender's fault and can't be helped, and in this case it's worth the shipping rate anyway. Think of it as perhaps an opportunity to take up stamp collecting as a side-hobby to one's fountain pen collection. :-)

water deludable walnutcrystals is recomended as an alternative for dippens with nibs. Its very nice,not to expensive, awailable at ebay and amazon and easy and satisfying to make yourself;)

I wish I could get a bottle... college is not cheap here in the US, neither is the shipping :( I love writing with darker inks and this ink looks great. Even the bottle looks good! sounds ridiculous but I think some bottles look much too cheap while others are probably literally just as expensive as the ink itself, which is not entirely practical. I hope you get the chance to make more!

Sir I realize this is not the right playlist but I was a bit perturbed by some of your, "shoot-out," videos. I really do not think that comparing two pens that have different sized nibs is doing either justice. For example your video on the 1911L and 146 comparison the 1911 had a zoom nib and one of the cons you said about the pen was that it was a wet pen. Of course the pen is going to be much more wet when you are comparing it to a broad pen. Yes the pen may be a bit wetter but not nearly to the same degree as how you judged it based off of a Zoom nib. I realize that it is not realistic for you to buy same size nibs for two pens for each shoot out video you do but please mention that or think of that for every time you say the pen is a, "very wet pen."

I am sorry, but that ink you are so seriously pushing is nothing more than marketing exploitation based on one thing....your name! While I find your youtube videos very informative and highly useful, this ink is sold out because it has your name on it! If that very same ink was being sold by myself or some other complete unknown then it would be sitting on the shelf it was placed on when it was packaged collecting dust. I am in no way saying that there is nothing wrong with making money, but let's be honest about your SBRE brown ink. There is nothing special and without your name on it, there would still be plenty of it for anyone who wanted it. Personally there are only two brown inks worth owning and your list didn't mention either of them. #1 Waterman Absolute Brown & #2 Noodlers Bullet Proof Brown! I use Waterman Absolute Brown ink in my Mont Blanc 32 pen because the 14k gold flex nib allows those beautiful highlights flow very naturally!
