Now that was just pure and genuine emotion. I can totally get behind Eight's thoughts here : the promised land, bathed in the light that she's always wanted to see. But she fears that this very light might banish her back to the shadows from whence she came. The way she spoke her worries really highlighted her frustration and fear, a fear that Marina had time to think over, but still lingered in the back of her mind. Yet she knows that things will be okay. Marina had Pearl to watch her back. Now Eight has an entire squadron- nay, a family to keep her safe. The light shall reveal it all ! And it reveals those two octolings' new home. Mmmmmh, masterful work, simply superb ! The writing, the music, the art, and the jewel of the crown, the voice-acting. Soothing, tense, dripping with worry, bursting with happiness ! We got the lot, and it struck harder than a Rainmaker shot, yet was as tender as the fabric of Pearl's hoodie (it's so FLUFFEH !). Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication, and you stay fresh all the same, Yume !

Man. The issue of what will happen when Octolings are finally seen as Octolings worries me. I don't wanna see a race war in Inkopolis now or ever. Sure, it's great to see the Inklings accept the Octolings under the guise of "Inklings with weird hairstyles", but that can't last forever. We can't have the Second Great Turf War come to be, but we also can't just come out and say "Yeah, we've actually got hundreds of Octolings that we all thought went extinct after the Great Turf War live among us so hope you're cool with that!" Not everyone can be THAT oblivious forever. I want to find a solution, but is there one that won't end in conflict?

Good news! In Splat 3 the seem to have integrated into inkling society easily with the universal term for the method of changing into a cephalopod and swimming around has canonically changed to “swim form” to be more inclusive and the Grizzco manual now mentions “inklings and octolings.” It seems the inkling response to octolings being revealed to be octos is “oh, you’re that race that we fought a billion years ago? Cool, wanna get a chili dog?”

I could tell there were subtle hints at recent events from our world as well, Almost like they aren't too different from us, tying both of Splatoons' events and ours did hit home, I felt the emotion(good, the happiness and reassurance from Marina) and slight anger(mostly because of the recent events which makes me disappointed in humanity) Overall the story was purely wholesome seeing Marina boop Ayanos' Nose was adorable (Bean alerts) and the vocals of into the light was a calming bomb indeed. 💖💖💖 8888/10 best story ever.

Man I missed it because I had work and was asleep but this was a very powerful one. Most people see Splatoon as just a kids game as Nintendo intended but I'm the type of gamer who dwells deeep below the surface and this is honestly how I see the game for it's true self. 8 speaks alot of truth with the political side of Inkopolis. The turf war between Marie and Callie was a surprise to many for just seeing who was best girl I suppose, but Inklings VS. Octolings *which I'm sure was just intended as a fun splatfest to see who the players favorite species was to play in game* brought alot of controversy among fans. Just like today with racism still being a high point *not including the whole black lives matter movement recently* it seems Inkopolis isn't a place fully accepting on just being who you are after all. When you start the game you expect to look through the shops and see what the game has the offer, only to find out that literally noone will accept you in their shop because your not cool *fresh* enough for their businesses. So right from the start even though pearl says Inkopolis is a land of opportunity for everyone to be welcomed like Marina and cuddlefish wanted peace, your already judged not possibly just cause of how you look, but if your even good enough to even be looked at or talked to. So in short Inkopolis really isn't the whole, land of second chances and opportunity the game tries to to make you see as if it's America today. Makes you think Octavio really is the good guy in this game as your secretly the villian. But I digress, amazing video as always Yume and I'm sorry I didn't get to see it live but I'm glad most people did. Be safe to everyone for you are all loved

The writing on this is just fantastic. The pacing is so smooth, and the emotions work really well. I know now that good and bad memories helps us who we are ...Its scary to say it , but we must move on and be happy , positive and Keeing things Fresh. While listening to this one can really tell how much heart you put in to the script of each episodes. Somehow i get the feeling that your more comfortable doing your own stories, then the dubs, please don't get me wrong, i don't mean it in any harmful or bad way, it's just, maybe it's because of the vibe or the ambiance of those videos that they seam more natural. If I am to be honest, my character would tell Agent 8 that he was in the same situation. In his words "You see, after I woke from my cryogenic slumber and built my first Inkbot and went to the surface, I felt like an outcast. It was tough for me, I felt like I was a waste. Until I met friends who helped me and had faith in me. I was slowly connecting to Inkopolis society. And now I feel I'm at home. 8, your friends will always be there for you, even if they aren't physically there. They are always there for us in our hearts. Without it, I don't even think I would've met Becka and a lot of my other friends, including you." And after 8's remark he tells her "If you need to talk, you are more than welcome to visit me."
