She did indeed say in this story that Cadance and her mother where casted a spell on by the Cadance's father, they became sealed within an unbreakable crystal, so nothing evil could harm them. I'm sure the crystal works something like if you where frozen in ice and melted after a thousand years. If you have read Twilight and the crystal heart spell you will know that Cadance where found as a baby pegasus in the woods by some earth ponies. Something will happen to her mother, since she was alone

One problem, you said Amethyst Shine came to check on preparations for the crystal fair. But, the crystal fair was made so crystal ponies could give their energy into the crystal heart. The crystal heart was made by Rubinus to express his affection to Amethyst Shine, meaning there could be no crystal fair before Rubinus and Amethyst Shine met. Just something I noticed.

I think of all the mlp headcanon backstories you can find,this makes the most sense. If you have seen all three of these so far, you can kind of see how well everything fits together and how it is all connected. If you look at everything seperately it doesn't make any sense, but if you take it all and look at it as one big picture, it makes perfect sense because everything is connected.

An interesting fact, I created an OC who eventually become friends with a unicorn named Rubius Dark Matter. He is a distant relative to Sombra and looks similar to him. I hadn't see this video before hand, but it would be cool to basically have him named after the great Alicorn king of the crystal empire.

I have followed your headcanon history of Equestria, and I must say it is very well made. You chose slides that fitted with the current themes of your story and employed a fine use of music that accompanied the visuals very well. You are very articulate and enjoy a comfortable range of vocabulary and clearly display your extensive knowledge base. This is why, Miss Ink Rose, I find you and your videos the most informative and entertaining in the Brony fandom. Though I find your headcanon one of the finest in the community, the best word I can find for it is...generic. Don't get me wrong I have developed many more ideas from watching your interpretation of events, it is your use of the term 'Chaos Forces' that most clearly demonstrates my view. Though you might be trying to keep it open ended it just turns it into a uninspiring war for power which is unfair to the Alicorns as it implies that a great collection of kingdoms and nations were defeated by a group of radicals from within and frankly I would think the Alicorns be greater than that. though you made a good origin story for Sombra (Spanish for shadow) his end fate was to be become corrupted by the need for profit which isn't really as tragic as I make out is origin; you also moved is undeveloped character to the leader of the Chaos Forces, Umbra (Latin for shadow) who what? Wanted to rule the world through chaos (very illogical as tyrants would want order, not chaos), which I infer as rather bland character development. I also found it rather peculiar that your past nations were just regular ponys ruled by an Alicorn royal family rather than a whole nation of Alicorns. I prefer to see it as all ponys were once Alicorns in their lineage and were 'split' when they were defeated. The greatest reason as to why I feel the way I do about your headcanon is that you only ask the big questions like 'What happened to the Crystal Empire?' instead of small questions on the grounds of 'Why do diamond dogs hunt for gems?', 'Why is there only one dragon assistant if the test to get into the gifted unicorn school of magic is to open a dragon egg?' and 'why does the Everfree control itself?' answer enough of these smaller questions and a picture far grander than you can ever imagine starts to emerge, you will be presently surprised. For example: in one episode Applebloom speaks French which Applejack calls 'fancy'. If we say the word fancy in a (bad) French accent, it is pronounced as 'Faun-Say' as in 'what Fauns say' hence the language of the Fauns. Anyone who knows classical mythology knows that Fauns and Satars are half goat half human, who spend there days drinking, partying and chasing nymphs (remind you of any human stereotype?). Since the world of Equestria follows classical mythology and the fact a minotaur appeared on the show (and the fact it is a pun) it is feasible that a nation called 'Faunce' populated by Fauns may exist if we assume Applejack simply mispronounced the name of the language. So you see, small happenings can have big implications. Though you might find this harsh, I still think your headcanon is very impressive, all the more impressive considering that you are only 15 and a half. I expect very big things from you in the future both as a Brony, and a storyteller. I apologise to anyone who read this for using up their time and a hearty thanks for hearing me out. /)

In my headcanon/fanfiction, Sombra wasn't a crystal pony. He was the prince in a race made up of only unicorns that used dark magic. They were called Shadow Ponies. His kingdom was destroyed completely while he was out on his morning run, because of draconquui. He was the only surviving Shadow Pony left. He fled to the Crystal Empire, adn was taken in by a couple of Crystal Ponies, who had only idle concerns about his wants. he had been accustomed to luxury, having grown up as a prince, so he got angry with the two, and ran farther into the city, hoping to get lodging in the Crystal Castle. The queen, Emerald Beam, as you mentionedin the video, wanted him to show her a spell, since he was the only unicorn in the kingdom ever since king Rubenus, but once she saw the dark magic that he had grown up learning to do, she sent him away. He hid from the Chaos-Bringers as they swept through the kingdom, and took over as ruler, Emerald Beam having been killed during the ordeal.

He feigned sympathy for the citizens, saying that he would help them rise again. But he only wanted the life of luxury he had grown up with. He began to see the citizens of the Crystal Empire as slaves, and treated them as such. You know the rest. (BTW, I meant King Rubenus, not Emerald Beam. In my fanfic, she doesn't exist.)

your time line doesn't make any sense star swirl the bearded was around during an age called the pre classical era so he was around before ponies had a mass exodus to what they now call Equestria as in he was alive BEFORE Equestria was a nation and BEFORE the rule of the alicorns and besides canterlot was only built after lunas banishment so.... yeah and apart from that looking at how sombras magic works its likely that his empire suffered hardship be it war or famine and some one he loved died causing him to become bitter and blame the rest of Equestria for it
