Went and tried this beforehand just by looking at the thumbnail. Took me two tries, but I got it myself! Your tutorials have paid off!

That's awesome. That's how you know you're getting better at it. You'll eventually reach a point where you can look at any vector graphic and immediately visualize how you would go about re-creating it.

Thank you Nick, fantastic videos! I'm trying to do this exercise, but every time I use the gradient it applies to the position on the page and not to the object. It seems to be right but if I move the object the grading changes. Do you know what may happen? Thank you again.

Very cool. Everything seems so simple following along and watching you do it. But then on my own, it's an entirely different story. lol I tried turning something like this into an "S" but it looked really bad. I'll keep playing with it. Thanks for the tuts!

I plan on creating an Inkscape Explained video about exporting tomorrow. Been meaning to for a while but been sidetracked with a lot of work and other stuff.

How do you make it snap so the hex straight ?
@neverforgottenful8 жыл бұрын
I have kinda thin white lines when snapping objects to each other, how do I fix that? Strokes are off.
@LogosByNick8 жыл бұрын
That's called aliasing. It's a mathematical problem with vector design (particularly Inkscape.) There's a few ways to fix it. The easiest would probably be to group everything together and create a few duplicate copies on top of each other.

+Nick Saporito What size of page you used in this tutorial ?
@LogosByNick8 жыл бұрын
It's whatever size page comes default in Inkscape. I just go to Document Properties and turn the page border off.

Why doesn't it have more shapes other than the pentagon and the star? (Other than the circle etc...)
@scottmarianamacdowall15535 жыл бұрын
A triangle is a polygon of 3, and you can build most shapes out of triangles.
