3:05 Inkscape version 1.0. Maybe it related to the version of Inkscape. But when I do Stroke to Path, it says 'No stroked paths in the selection' and therefore I can't do Union after that.

just recently tried in inkscape 1.0 and still works. change the union with combine by pressing ctrl+k to combine.

At 11.20 whenever I do Union, it says "one of the object isn't a path", but when i convert object to path it says no object to convert to path. Can anyone explain this?

in this case, because the "adventure" text still in text mode and the bend (from path effect) still not applied. so first, make sure ungroup all the text, then apply the path effect for adventure text by going to path > Object to path. the bend path effect should applied. then make the text become path by right click > ungroup the "adventure" text first, and now you see the letter in seperate. then the last make it become path by going to path > union. do the same for the shadow. now, the union should work.

Hi, i don't know why you think this is not professional software, care to elaborate? There are people making amazing logo design and illustrations and vector art as a whole using inkscape and making 200k $ + in the industry and are very much in that sense professionals. There is the Adobe suite thing, of course its the most popular and known software in the world and what almost every professional uses, but it does not mean that Inkscape or Affinity designer, Gimp or other software's are not professional.
